American Express has quietly rolled out an update to its popular Amex Offers platform, and it’s one that cardholders will likely appreciate.

Instead of the old “Add to Card” button, you now see a simple plus sign (“+”) next to each offer. While this might seem like a small design tweak, the update makes it noticeably faster and easier to load multiple offers to your card — especially for those of us who routinely add every offer to their card (we’ll discuss below why this is advantageous).

For frequent users of Amex Offers — a feature that provides statement credits and bonus points on everyday purchases — this is useful upgrade that could save time and reduce frustration. Here’s a look at how the new layout works.

What’s Changed With Amex Offers?

Previously, adding Amex Offers to your card could feel clunky. Each click triggered a page reload, sometimes lagging or failing altogether if you were trying to add several deals at once or adding numerous offers quickly. The new system replaces that workflow with a much snappier process.

Now, tapping the plus sign instantly adds the offer to your card without a full reload. If you’re someone who likes to add as many offers as possible — whether for groceries, dining, or travel — to your account, this makes the process far smoother.

Before or after adding an offer, you also can click the “View Details” button to launch a small pop-up that shows you an overview of the offer.

From this window, you can click on “View Offer Terms” to show the full details and terms of the particular offer.

Why This Matters for Travelers

Amex Offers have long been one of the best ways to squeeze extra value out of American Express cards. Travel-related deals pop up often, including savings with airlines, hotels, and ride-sharing services.

The new streamlined layout means you can quickly add every offer that might be relevant for your next trip. For example, it’s now easier than ever to load a Marriott or Hilton statement credit alongside a dining offer before heading out on vacation.

Simply put, the faster workflow removes a pain point and encourages cardholders to take full advantage of the rotating lineup of deals, which can easily add up to hundreds of dollars in annual savings.

Hot Tip:

Typically, you can only see 100 new Amex Offers at any given time. Until some of these expire or you add them to your account, you can’t see additional offers. You might miss out on valuable offers because of this limit, so adding all of your offers onto your card creates space for more offers to show up.

Final Thoughts

This may not be the kind of headline-grabbing change that comes with a new card launch or benefit overhaul, but it’s a smart, practical update that improves one of Amex’s most valuable perks.

If you rely on Amex Offers to stretch your budget — whether that’s for travel, dining, or everyday purchases — you’ll likely find the new layout a welcome upgrade. It’s faster, cleaner, and ultimately makes it easier to save money with the cards you already carry.
