Update:The offer mentioned below has expired and is no longer available.

Amex Offers is out with new savings at Sonesta hotels. When you spend $300 or more on eligible stays, you can receive $60 back through the Amex Offers program. There’s a limited time to spend and redeem, so be sure to check your cards to see if you are eligible.

What Is Amex Offers?

Amex Offers can be found through both the mobile Amex app and on the full Amex website. When you click on the cards that you have, you will see an Amex Offers tab listing all of the offers you are targeted for. If you are targeted, you’ll see this Sonesta offer as one of the options and you can click Add to Card. If you aren’t targeted, there’s nothing you can do, but you should look through the other offers to see if any are appealing to you.

The Offer

This offer is valid for Sonesta purchases from June 20, 2023, through September 30, 2023. Once you add the offer to your card, you’ll need to spend $300 or more to get the $60 statement credit back to your card. You can spend 1 or more times, so long as the total before September 30 adds up to more than $300. Since this offer requires spending at a hotel, this should be a pretty easy target to hit.

Hot Tip:

Many people assume Sonesta hotels are just in resort towns, but there are plenty of city locations, too. Check out Sonesta’s website for the full list of properties.

There are some things you need to know:

  • This offer is valid in the U.S. and in U.S. territories only, so international properties don’t count.
  • You must make your reservations directly through Sonesta, so travel agent or third-party bookings don’t count.
  • The $300 you spend must be on the room rate only, and won’t include incidentals or any room charges.
  • If you’ve made a prepayment prior to the promotion date, it won’t count towards this offer.

Final Thoughts

Sonesta offers several higher-end luxury and all-inclusive properties, so if you can find a way to use this offer, it can provide significant savings on your next stay. Check all of your American Express cards to see if you were targeted.
