We’ve been eagerly awaiting the opening of the Andaz Lisbon, and we finally have a date: March 11, 2026.

Ahead of the Andaz Lisbon’s opening, let us give an overview of what you can expect from the hotel, its amenities, and the best ways to book with World of Hyatt points.

Luxury Andaz Hotel Opening in Lisbon Next Month

The Andaz Lisbon (the brand’s first location in Portugal) will feature 170 guest rooms and suites, including a loft suite and a presidential suite. This hotel was originally expected to open in late 2025, but that timeline has obviously shifted.

At the heart of the 5-star hotel is its dining program, which includes the terrace-and-rooftop restaurant Luzzi, serving modern Lusitanian cuisine, and the Andaz Lounge. Other amenities include pet-friendly accommodations, a fitness center, and a spa.

The hotel is located in Lisbon’s Baixa neighborhood, which is known for its historic landmarks, shopping, and dining. Lisbon Humberto Delgado Airport (LIS) is a 25-minute drive away. The Andaz Lisbon will join the Hyatt Regency Lisbon and a handful of Mr and Mrs Smith boutique hotels as World of Hyatt-affiliated options for stays in the city.

Bottom Line:

Last year, Hyatt announced plans to triple its portfolio in Portugal by 2027. Part of those plans included The Standard, Lisbon, which is also expected to open this year and will feature 170 guest rooms and 24 extended stay apartments. Hyatt also recently opened a Category 3 Hyatt Regency in the Algarve.

Best Ways To Book the Andaz Lisbon

The Andaz Lisbon officially opens for guests on March 11, but you can book reservations now. Cash rates start at around $350 per night, which isn’t a bad deal for an Andaz hotel — especially in Europe.

However, if you want to save your cash for other activities in the city, you can use World of Hyatt points. The Category 6 property requires 21,000 points per night during off-peak dates, 25,000 points per night during standard dates, and 29,000 points per night during peak dates.

Need to top off your balance? Hyatt points aren’t the easiest to earn, but you can accumulate them by transferring Chase Ultimate Rewards or Bilt Rewards points to Hyatt at a 1:1 ratio. For those who frequent Hyatt hotels, we recommend keeping one of the best credit cards for Hyatt loyalists in your wallet.

Final Thoughts

One of the most exciting hotel openings in Europe is just a few weeks away, with the Andaz Lisbon scheduled to open in March. As one of the more affordable high-end World of Hyatt properties in Europe, it should be a solid sweet spot for loyalists.
