Avelo has been aggressively adding new routes over the last several months. Image Credit: Joe Scarnici via AveloAvelo serves 25 destinations across the U.S. and has 3 bases at Burbank Airport (BUR), Tweed-New Haven Airport (HVN), and Orlando International Airport (MCO).
The airline is ramping up service in several key markets and just this spring announced it would start nonstop service between its base in New Haven and Baltimore, Chicago-Midway (MDW), and Raleigh-Durham (RDU).
“There’s growing demand for air service from BWI, and Avelo’s unmatched convenience and affordability make traveling to Orlando and Wilmington easier than ever,” Avelo Chairman and CEO Andrew Levy said in a statement.
“The start of these two new routes, in addition to our existing service to Southern Connecticut, provide more choice for our Customers’ next vacation, weekend getaway, or reconnecting with family and friends.”
Fly From $59 Each Way
Avelo is offering introductory fares on its new routes, with one-way tickets starting at just $59.
Note that the fares are available on a limited number of flights and seats. And because Avelo is a low-cost airline, keep in mind that you’ll pay extra for carry-on and checked bags, assigned seats, and other optional services.
Finally, you’ll likely want to book directly at AveloAir.com — a $20 charge applies to all bookings or changes made through the airline’s Customer Support Center.
Hot Tip: Don’t want to pay extra at the airport? Make sure to read Avelo’s optional services page before you fly.
Final Thoughts
Avelo has been expanding rapidly this year, and this announcement is a sign that the airline’s growth is likely to continue. If you’ve been thinking about flying Avelo, now might be a perfect time — especially as fares on the airline’s 2 newest routes are only $59 each way.
