Avelo Airlines is a new low-cost carrier that has been rapidly expanding in recent months. And now, it has officially launched 3 brand-new routes.
Let’s take a look at all you need to know!
Back in March, Avelo announced it would begin nonstop service between its base in New Haven (HVN) and Baltimore (BWI), Chicago-Midway (MDW), and Raleigh-Durham (RDU). And today, May 26, 2022, the airline inaugurated all 3 of the new routes.
From May 26, 2022, through June 15, 2022, flights between New Haven and Baltimore will operate according to the following schedule:
On Mondays, Thursdays, Fridays, and Sundays:
Come June 16, 2022, flight schedules will change to the following:
On Mondays and Fridays:
On Thursdays and Sundays:
Flights between New Haven and Chicago will operate according to the following schedule on Mondays, Thursdays, Fridays, and Sundays:
Finally, flights between New Haven and Raleigh-Durham will operate according to the following schedule on Mondays, Thursdays, Fridays, and Sundays:
Introductory fares start at $59, $79, and $89 each way for flights between New Haven and Baltimore, Raleigh-Durham, and Chicago, respectively. Flights can be purchased directly at AveloAir.com and must be booked by June 3, 2022, for travel through November 2, 2022.
Just a few days ago, Avelo launched an exciting twice-weekly route between Burbank (BUR) and Boise (BOI). Introductory fares for that route start at $69 one-way. Note that you must book before June 1, 2022, for travel by November 7, 2022, to get the discounted price.
Avelo will operate these routes with a mix of its Boeing 737-700 and 737-800 Next-Generation aircraft.
Now, the airline serves nearly 30 destinations across the United States, and maintains hubs in Burbank, New Haven, and Orlando (MCO).

Avelo has firmly planted itself in the low-cost market. Today’s route launches, along with the inauguration of service between Boise and Burbank just days ago, signal that the airline is serious about its expansion plans.
Travelers looking for cheap flights now have some new options and judging by the pace at which Avelo is expanding, we won’t be surprised to hear the airline announce even more routes in the coming months.
