“We’re adding three new destinations, including our fourth international location, Nassau, Bahamas,” said CEO Andrew Levy. “These 13 new routes offer our customers even more choices, making it easier and more affordable than ever for our customers to get where they want to go.”

Bottom Line:

All told, Avelo now flies to more than 50 destinations. These include a fast-growing international market in the Caribbean, bolstered by new flights to Nassau. Additionally, Avelo flies to Jamaica, Mexico, and the Dominican Republic.

How To Book

These new routes are available on AveloAir.com. You’ll find the cheapest flights on the Wilmington (ILM) to Washington-Dulles route, but the best deals are to Nassau. Flights start at $84 each way, which is a great deal considering other flights on the route (which aren’t nonstop) cost nearly $150 each way.

Once you’ve settled on your travel plans, make sure to book your tickets with a travel rewards credit card to maximize flight purchases. Finally, keep in mind that Avelo is a budget airline that charges for ancillary services like baggage and seat selection.

Final Thoughts

Avelo is adding over a dozen new routes starting this spring. They include some exciting new destinations, like Nassau and Long Island, which will likely be popular for summer travelers.
