The low-cost start-up taking the U.S. by storm has just announced nonstop services from Wilmington, North Carolina (ILM) to Tampa (TPA) and West Palm Beach (PBI) in Florida.
Its summer schedule will also see increased frequencies on its route between Orlando (MCO) and Wilmington.

We’re seeing great support from the community and our flights are consistently filling up,” said Andrew Levy, chairman and CEO at Avelo Airlines. “With these two new routes to Palm Beach and Tampa, and added flights to Orlando, Coastal NC residents can continue saying hello to affordable, convenient and reliable air travel with Avelo.”
Here are the details about the 2 new routes which will take wing in late June 2023.
Florida continues to be a hugely popular domestic vacation destination, and Avelo is capitalizing on that by connecting Wilmington and those living in North Carolina to even more of the Sunshine State.
The first of the 2 services to take off will be on June 22, 2023, with the inauguration of Wilmington to West Palm Beach. Flights will operate on Thursdays and Sundays with the following schedule:
The second new route to Tampa will start on June 23, 2023, operating on Mondays and Fridays with the following schedule:
Also starting June 22, 2023, Wilmington will also welcome double the weekly nonstop services to Orlando (MCO) which will start operating on Mondays, Thursdays, Fridays, and Sundays.
Despite Avelo being a relatively new airline at Wilmington, these new routes bring the total to 6 nonstop services: Baltimore (BWI), Fort Lauderdale (FLL), New Haven (HVN), Orlando (MCO), and now, Tampa (TPA) and West Palm Beach (PBI).
