Update:The offer mentioned below has expired and is no longer available.

Amex has 2 new Amex Offers available to help you save on your next rental car reservations. These offers can come in handy if you’ve got any trips planned soon.

Here are the details!

Save Up to $75 With Avis and $50 With Budget

For the Avis Amex Offer, you’ll need to spend $350 or more on a car rental and will get $75 back.

To utilize the Budget Amex Offer, you’ll need to spend $250 or more on a car rental and will get $50 back. This offer is also only for U.S.-based rentals.

Like most Amex Offers, the spend requirement doesn’t have to be in 1 transaction. You can have multiple rental transactions totaling over the required amount. Once you hit this threshold, you’ll receive the $50 or $75 back as a statement credit. Assuming you spend exactly $350 on an Avis car rental, $75 back represents a 21% savings, which is a considerable discount.

Hot Tip:

This offer may be available on more than 1 Amex card. Be sure to check them all out before adding the promotion to a specific card! Furthermore, it’s likely that this Avis Amex Offer will be on a higher-end American Express card.

For good measure, you should purchase and rent directly through Avis or Budget if you want to take advantage of these offers.

These offers expire on March 26, 2024, so you must pay for your rental by this date. To ensure you receive the credit, end your rental several days before to ensure there’s enough time for the charge to post by then.

What Are Amex Offers?

Amex Offers are found on all American Express-issued credit cards. Head into your Amex app and you’ll see an “Offers” tab for each card you have. You can frequently save lots of money on top merchants worldwide — and for usually very reasonable spending requirements.

Once you find an Amex Offer you want to add to your card, simply click the button to activate it. Then, any qualifying purchases will trigger the statement credit.

Final Thoughts

If you’ve got an upcoming car rental, be sure to check your American Express cards to see if you were targeted to save $75 on your booking of $350 or more at Avis or $50 on your booking of $250 or more at Budget. You could save considerably if you use these before March 26, 2024!
