Update:The offer mentioned below has expired and is no longer available.

It’s almost impossible to find decently priced first-class seats from the United States to Europe, especially as airlines restrict inventory or even phase out first class in favor of business.

That’s why we were so excited to find a huge amount of award space in first class from American Airlines for just 64,000 miles one-way.

Let’s take a look at the details.

AA First Class Award Deal — Details

Finding first-class award space to London is pretty simple, since British Airways routinely releases award seats. However, they charge thousands of dollars in fees, which makes it pretty unattainable for most flyers.

These flights are operated by American Airlines, which means you’ll avoid all those crazy-high fees and pay less than $6 out of pocket.

  • Class: First and business
  • Routes: New York (JFK) to London (LHR)
  • Dates: January 2025 to April 2025
  • Rates: 64,000 miles + $5.60 in taxes and fees

To find a date that works for you, head to American Airlines’ website. Its handy fare calendar makes it easy to search for availability.

We’ve found space throughout the first quarter of 2025 — and even if you don’t want to book first class, business class flights are available too, starting at 54,000 miles.

If you’re low on American miles, you can also find these flights over at Alaska Airlines:

Best Ways To Book

American Airlines does its best to limit transfer partners, which can make earning AAdvantage miles difficult. However, if you have Bilt Rewards, you can transfer those over at a 1:1 ratio to help build up your stash. The same is true for Alaska Airlines.

Note that if you’re looking to fly first class, you’ll pay less by booking with American Airlines. If business class is what you prefer, you’ll save a significant amount of miles by booking with Alaska. It’s not often that you’ll find business class awards to Europe for just 45,000 miles!

Don’t forget to pay the taxes and fees with a card that’ll offer you complimentary travel insurance. This includes the Chase Sapphire Reserve®, whose insurance kicks in as long as you charge those fees to the card.

Final Thoughts

This is such an incredible deal for first class flights to Europe that we ran straight here to publish it. If you’ve never enjoyed American’s Flagship First before, you’re in for a treat!

Run, don’t walk, to book this excellent award deal!
