If you’re in the market for more American Airlines AAdvantage miles, you’ll want to pay attention to this new promotion. Between June 1, 2024, and August 31, 2024, you can earn 20,000 American Airlines bonus miles by opening a Bask Bank Mileage Savings Account and completing qualifying activities.

Here are all the details.

Earn AA Miles With a Bask Bank Savings Account

If you’re a fan of American Airlines, you’re probably always looking for easy ways to earn more AA miles. With this new promotion from Bask Bank, you earn 20,000 bonus miles. The only catch is you need to have an extra $50,000 lying around that can be moved to a new bank.

Bask Bank is offering new accounts a bonus of 20,000 American Airlines miles by funding a Bask Mileage Savings Account with a minimum of $50,000 in the first 15 days of account opening and maintaining this amount or more for at least 180 days.

These miles are awarded as bonus miles, which means they won’t also earn Loyalty Points.

Of course, this offer comes with some fine print:

  • It’s valid for first-time Bask Mileage Savings Account holders only.
  • Account must be opened between June 1, 2024, and August 31, 2024, and funded within 15 days of account opening.
  • A minimum daily balance of $50,000 must be maintained for at least 180 consecutive days during the account’s first 120 days.
  • An American Airlines loyalty account number in the same name as the bank account holder must be provided to earn bonus miles.

Bonus miles will be awarded 10 business days after all requirements are met but could take 6 to 8 weeks to post to your AAdvantage account.

Previous Bask Bank Bonuses

This isn’t the first mileage bonus we’ve seen from Bask Bank. Since these bonuses are only available on new accounts, you may want to wait for a bigger bonus or a smaller minimum deposit requirement if you aren’t in need of extra American Airlines miles right now.

These are some of the previous bonuses we’ve seen:

  • 5,000 Loyalty Points for a $25,000 deposit
  • 1,000 Loyalty Points for a $5,000 deposit
  • 1,000 bonus miles for a $5,000 deposit
  • 2,000 bonus miles for a $10,000 deposit
  • 4,000 bonus miles for a $10,000 deposit
  • 10,000 bonus miles for a $25,000 deposit
  • 20,000 bonus miles for a $50,000 deposit
Bottom Line:

You can earn 20,000 American Airlines bonus miles by opening a new Bask Bank Mileage Savings Account between June 1, 2024 and August 31, 2024, and maintaining a balance of $50,000 for 180 consecutive days during the first 15 days after account opening.

Bask Bank Mileage Savings Account

Bask Bank allows you to open a savings account that earns American Airlines miles instead of interest. It’s a unique concept that may appeal to American Airlines loyalists.

Even better, the miles you can earn have recently increased to 2.5 AAdvantage miles per dollar. That means if you maintain a balance of $50,000 in a year then you would earn 131,875 redeemable American Airlines miles (not Loyalty Points).

That’s more than enough miles for a round-trip ticket to Europe or a one-way business class flight to Europe.

Hot Tip:

While it’s great to earn redeemable miles just by having and funding a Bask Bank savings account, you won’t earn Loyalty Points in this way.

Final Thoughts

Bask Bank has a limited-time offer that earns 20,000 American Airlines bonus miles for opening and funding a new mileage savings account. Between June 1, 2024 and August 31, 2024, you can earn 20,000 bonus miles by opening a Bask Bank Mileage Savings Account and maintaining a balance of $50,000 for 180 consecutive days in the first 15 days after opening the account.

If you happen to have $50,000 lying around collecting dust, this could be a good opportunity to earn a few more miles for zero out-of-pocket cost.
