beOnd, the all-business-class leisure airline flying to the Maldives, Dubai, Milan, Munich, and Zurich, has plans to fly to the U.S. The Dubai-based carrier has partnered with Anchorage-based New Pacific Airlines to launch beOnd America, bringing its signature lie-flat luxury experience to American travelers.

Here’s everything we know so far about this development.

Bringing Premium Leisure Travel to the U.S.

Under the beOnd America partnership, New Pacific will operate flights under the beOnd brand, combining its FAA certification with beOnd’s high-end leisure concept. The plan calls for 8 aircraft, pending approval from the U.S. Department of Transportation (DOT) and the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA).

beOnd, which offers aircraft outfitted completely with lie-flat seats, flies to destinations in Europe, the Middle East, and Asia. Now, it hopes to introduce American travelers to a more comfortable way of flying on long-haul routes.

This move makes sense for the carrier, as by partnering with a U.S. carrier, the airline can expand its reach without launching its own domestic operation.

“This partnership brings more travelers a premium leisure experience focused on comfort, calm, and care,” said beOnd CEO Tero Taskila. New Pacific CEO Tom Hsieh added that the collaboration “delivers something truly distinctive for American travelers — a boutique, luxury airline experience not seen in U.S. skies.”

Routes and launch dates haven’t been announced yet, but the partnership could change how U.S. travelers experience long-haul leisure travel.

Hot Tip:

beOnd has previously outlined ambitious plans to operate 32 aircraft across 60 destinations, but so far, those projections haven’t fully materialized. Expanding from a hub in the Maldives to major U.S. cities is a significant challenge, especially for a boutique airline focused on leisure routes. Still, if the FAA and DOT give the green light, beOnd America could mark a meaningful step toward those long-term goals — and we’ll be watching closely to see if it takes off.

Final Thoughts

beOnd’s partnership with New Pacific Airlines could open the door to a new type of premium leisure travel experience in the U.S., but success will depend on several factors. The concept of an all-business-class airline based in the Maldives is ambitious — and scaling that model to American markets comes with major logistical and regulatory challenges.

That said, beOnd has carved out a distinct niche with its aesthetically beautiful cabins and all-flat-seat configuration. If Beyond America successfully takes off, it could give travelers a refreshing new way to travel long-haul — one that makes the journey feel like part of the vacation itself. For now, all eyes are on the FAA and DOT to see if the plan clears for takeoff.
