The EPCOT International Flower & Garden Festival runs through June 2 this year, brightening up the park with vibrant blooms, creative topiaries, and seasonal eats. Although the flowers and gardens are the stars of the show, the food booths are a delicious part of the festival.

I visited during Spring Break with my best friend, who had an impossible list of 49 festival foods she wanted to try. We didn’t get quite that far, but we enjoyed as many as possible!

When you come for yourself, you can pick up a festival passport at either park entrance to guide you through this year’s 20 festival kitchens. Here’s a look at our favorite dishes, what we’ll order again, and what we can’t wait to try next time.

Garden Graze and Plant-Based Picks

At the back of the festival passport is the Garden Graze menu, highlighting some of the festival’s plant-based items. If you eat 5 of the menu items — and get a passport stamp for each — you can bring your passport to the Pineapple Promenade to get a plant-based Dole Whip completer treat. It’s a fun way to guide your food selections and get a sweet reward.

We were impressed by the variety of plant-based food available at the festival and how tasty it was, from the satisfying Jamaican beef patty with Impossible beef to the colorful and fresh avocado toast. These were appealing to plant-based eaters and omnivores alike.

  • Grilled street corn at Beach Grub
  • Coconut-chocolate flancocho at La Isla Fresca
  • Potato pancakes at Bauernmarkt
  • Jamaican beef patty at Refreshment Outpost

Florida Sunshine Smoothie

Price: $6.25
Snack credit eligible: Yes
Where to find it: The Land Cart, near The Land Pavilion

Florida sunshine smoothie from The Land Cart.

This smoothie lives up to its name, offering Florida sunshine in a cup. It’s made with pineapple Dole Whip, banana, and mango and is perfectly refreshing. The flowers and striped straw made it look festive and tasted cold, creamy, and fruity without overpowering sweetness. This is great to pick up when the sun is blazing on a hot park day.

Hot Tip:

Snack credits are part of the Disney Dining Plan for Walt Disney World resort guests. You can purchase a prepaid dining plan for meal and snack credits redeemable at participating locations, typically including EPCOT festival kitchens.

Provence Poutine

Price: $9
Snack credit eligible: Yes
Where to find it: Refreshment Port in the Canada Pavilion

Epcot International Flower Garden Festival food Canada Refreshment Port Provence poutine
Provence poutine from Canada Refreshment Port.

I’ve had other home-run poutines from the Canada Refreshment Port and found myself nodding along as I read the menu description for the Provence poutine: french fries seasoned with herbes de Provence, goat brie, lavender honey, hazelnut croquant, and fresh lavender. This floral poutine was artfully presented and met my expectations with a floral take on a Canadian classic. I loved the creamy goat brie and drizzle of lavender, though I would have liked more of both.

Gnocchis Provencal Aux Herbes, Canard Confit, Sauce Romarin

Price: $8.95
Snack credit eligible: Yes
Where to find it: Fleur de Lys (France Pavilion)

Epcot International Flower and Garden Festival food Fleur de Lys gnocchi
Duck and mushroom gnocchi at Fleur de Lys in the France pavilion.

This French duck at Fleur de Lys in the France pavilion isn’t winning any beauty contests, but I enjoyed the flavors so much that this is the only festival dish I’ve eaten twice (so far). It was totally worth the long wait in line.

The Parisian-style gnocchi were more like flat dumplings than the pillowy Italian versions, and they soaked up the rich rosemary sauce beautifully. With herbes de Provence, the duck confit was tender, flavorful, and reminiscent of a holiday meal, while the mushrooms added depth. This dish was rich, and there was a little oil pooled in the corners, so if that’s a turnoff for you, this dish might be a skip.

We also got the goat cheese croissant at Fleur de Lys, and it was gone in seconds. The croissant was crisp and buttery outside, topped with a strip of goat cheese, and filled with more soft goat cheese inside.

Coconut-Chocolate Flancocho

Price: $5.25
Snack credit eligible: Yes
Where to find it: La Isla Fresca (between France and Morocco)

La Isla Fresca, between France and Morocco, has always been one of my favorite festival stops, and we got the plant-based coconut-chocolate flancocho. This Garden Graze menu item is a layered combination of chocolate cake, coconut custard, and passion fruit caramel. Though the cake was a little too firm and the custard wasn’t as smooth as traditional flan, the bright, tropical passion fruit caramel perfectly complemented the creamy coconut.

Grilled Gulf Oysters

Price: $8
Snack credit eligible: Yes
Where to find it: Magnolia Terrace (American Adventure Pavilion)

Grilled Gulf oysters at Magnolia Terrace.

When I travel, I prioritize eating food I can’t get at home. I almost skipped the grilled Gulf oysters at Magnolia Terrace in the American Adventure pavilion because I live in the Texas Gulf Coast area with no shortage of oyster spots close to home. I’m so glad I didn’t miss these because they were a fresh take on grilled oysters I hadn’t had before.

What I loved most about these oysters was their presentation. I was told to “go to the grill shack” past the pickup window when I ordered them. There, I saw the oysters freshly shucked, grilled on the spot, then placed on rock salt and dressed with Cajun andouille sausage, butter, and lemon. I got an extra lemon wedge and a tiny Tabasco sauce bottle on the side. The savory sausage was a great umami addition, and all 3 of the oysters I got were plump and satisfying. Overall, this dish is great for oyster lovers.

Bananas Foster Bread Pudding

Price: $5
Snack credit eligible: Yes
Where to find it: Magnolia Terrace (American Adventure Pavilion)

When I got the Gulf oysters, I ordered the Bananas Foster bread pudding at Magnolia Terrace. This dessert melds 2 New Orleans dessert classics: Bananas Foster and bread pudding in a warm and sticky-sweet treat. The bananas were soft and caramelized, and the bread pudding was dense. My favorite part was the rum-caramel sauce. The bread pudding was too rich to finish, but we didn’t leave behind a drop of the sauce!

Jamaican Beef Patty and Seasonal Fruit Parfait

Price: $7 for Jamaican beef patty; $6.50 for seasonal fruit parfait
Snack Credit eligible: Yes
Where to find it: Refreshment Outpost (between China and Germany)

It’s easy to speed right past the Refreshment Outpost between the Germany and China pavilions, but I’ve found great festival food there. This time, we picked up the Jamaican Impossible beef patty and seasonal fruit parfait. Both were spicy, sweet, and savory and on the plant-based Garden Graze menu.

The Jamaican beef patty is like a large empanada filled with Impossible beef and topped with papaya syrup. The crust had a nice crunch, and the filling was savory with some heat. I loved the bold flavors balanced by the sweet-and-spicy papaya syrup on top. It was a little messy and sticky, but we weren’t complaining!

The seasonal fruit parfait needs a different name because it’s really a spicy Dole Whip. I sometimes get Dole Whip fatigue because of all the flavor varieties available now, but there was no way I could pass up trying a spicy one. This version was layered with chunky tropical fruit and refreshing, with a Tajin-like spice mix on top. It wouldn’t be out of place at a beachside fruit stand.

If you order this with the Jamaican beef patty, know it will offer little relief from the spice because they both have sweet heat. I liked the fruity and hot flavors coming together, but it had a lot of sweetness, and the serving size was rather large, so this is a good item to share!

Chocolate Mousse Terrarium

Price: $5.50
Snack credit eligible: Yes
Where to find it: Trowel & Trellis (near Disney Traders and Port of Entry)

This is the second year I’ve enjoyed the chocolate mousse terrarium from Trowel & Trellis, and I can’t resist this tiny edible garden. It has chocolate mousse topped with a matcha crumble, chocolate “soil,” and an edible flower. It reminds me of a much prettier version of the dirt cake desserts I grew up eating. If you like matcha, it offers a familiar subtle earthiness. It’s rich, so this is another item I recommend sharing — I’ve yet to be able to finish one of these.

Lumpia With Plant-Based Pork and Citrus-Baked Brie

Price: $6 for the plant-based pork; $5.50 for the citrus-baked brie
Snack credit eligible: Yes
Where to find it: The Citrus Blossom

The Citrus Blossom at the Odyssey offers a plant-based twist on a Filipino classic. The lumpia was flavorful and crispy with a golden shell and well-seasoned plant-based pork. It had a bright, crunchy green papaya salad with a tangy yuzu sweet-and-sour sauce.

The citrus-baked brie is a returning favorite. Mine didn’t look as bright, floral, and appetizing as I’d seen in photos, but the flavors were spot on. It had a flaky pastry topped with a pulpy orange-lemon marmalade and a warm, creamy brie filling. I got a generous sprinkling of limoncello-macerated blueberries and spiced Marcona almonds — these were warm, too. This dish was flavorful and satisfying but not overpowering, good for eating indoors at the Odyssey on a warm Florida day.

Avocado Toast

Price: $6.25
Snack credit eligible: Yes
Where to find it: BRUNCHCOT (near Test Track)

The avocado toast at Brunchot in World Discovery is another returning favorite, and it’s easy to see why. It’s a slice of toasted ciabatta piled high with avocado and topped with yellow and red marinated tomatoes, plant-based cheese crumbles, and small edible flowers. No skimpy avocado spread here! Chunky avocados can sometimes be bland, but the oil from the marinated tomatoes soaked through, making every bite flavorful.

Eating this was somewhat messy as the toppings kept trying to slide off, but it was worth it. Grab a knife and fork for this one, or just embrace the mess.

Lemon-Lavender Baumkuchen

Price: $6.29
Snack credit eligible: Yes (Disney Dining Plan)
Where to find it: Connections Eatery, World Discovery

This delicate tree-ringed cake at Connections Eatery was elegant, subtly sweet, and beautifully layered. The lavender anglaise was a lovely shade of purple and topped with an edible flower, so it was just as lovely to look at as it was to eat!

I loved the balanced flavors. The lemon and lavender played well together, and the floral notes gave it a springtime note that perfectly fit the festival. But the real draw was the numerous layers of the cake that resembled tree rings. This cake was layered on a spit that you could watch through a window at the cafe.

13. Garden Graze Completer Treat

Price: Included with Garden Graze
Snack Credit eligible: No
Where to find it: Pineapple Promenade (World Showcase Plaza)

Epcot International Flower and Garden Festival food Garden Graze menu completer treat
Garden Graze challenge completer treat from Pineapple Promenade.

We finished the Garden Graze challenge and picked up our completer treat at the Pineapple Promenade. It’s a vanilla soft-serve and Dole Whip pineapple served in a reusable souvenir cup with a packet of wildflower seeds.

The soft-serve was made of KLIMON (“no milk” spelled backward) dairy-free ice cream that was creamy and delicious with the signature Dole Whip pineapple zing. I sometimes struggle to enjoy completer treats after eating around the World Showcase, but this was refreshing and light — and the plastic cup was a great keepsake.

What We’re Going Back For

There’s only so much we can eat on a visit. We’ll have to return to hit some of the highlights we didn’t make it to this time! These are a few of the must-eats on our list.

EPCOT Farmers Feast

EPCOT Farmers Feast in CommuniCore Hall has a rotating menu: Early Bloom from March 5 to April 5, Springtime from April 6 to May 3, and Summer Solstice from May 4 to June 2. We plan to get the grilled peaches and burrata from the Springtime menu, which features prosciutto, petite lettuce, micro mint, and a sweet tea-lemon gastrique.

Beach Grub

I’m interested in everything on the Beach Grub menu, but we passed on it because there was a long line in the sun, and we really wanted to make our way into the World Showcase. On our next visit, we’ll go for the seafood bake and grilled street corn on the cob. The s’mores bar — a brownie with dark chocolate, toasted meringue, and smoked graham cracker — will be a hot ticket with my family!

The Honey Bee-stro

I saved this one for visiting with my husband because I know he will want to try the chicken and waffles with whipped honey butter, spicy honey, and a honey, jalapeno, and bacon cornbread waffle. I want to see if it will outshine the hot honey chicken at Golden Oak Outpost near Tiana’s Bayou Adventure.

Swirled Showcase

Swirled Showcase has a liquid nitro honey-mascarpone cheesecake. It looks like it has a great wow factor with a look of smoke from the liquid nitrogen. My kids will almost certainly try the soft-serve vanilla, peanut butter, and grape jelly ice cream — and I will almost certainly swipe a taste of those, too!

Magnolia Terrace

Magnolia Terrace had the grilled oysters and bananas Foster bread pudding I enjoyed, but I want to go back to try the muffuletta and see how it compares to our New Orleans favorite at Stein’s Deli.

Final Thoughts

EPCOT’s International Flower & Garden Festival delivers beautifully on creativity and flavor. We love taking in the sights and smells of the flowers, gardens, and topiaries while eating our way around the park.

This year, I was especially impressed by the plant-based options among our festival favorites. Pursuing the Garden Graze menu was a fun way to explore dishes, and the completer treat was a refreshing way to end a long day at the park. There are still so many dishes we didn’t get to, and a few I’d like to try again. If you’re visiting the festival, arrive hungry and ready to stamp your passport.
