Bilt is keeping busy. After unveiling the option to earn points on mortgage payments and adding Etihad Guest as a transfer partner earlier this month, Bilt is adding yet another partner — this time to its neighborhood ecosystem.

Bilt is partnering with Metropolis, an AI-driven parking network, to create Neighborhood Parking.

This allows members to seamlessly find spots and park without dealing with tickets and payment booths, all while earning valuable Bilt Rewards points.

Parking Added to Bilt Neighborhood Ecosystem

Bilt Rewards has just announced a new partnership with Metropolis, the largest parking network in the U.S., with more than 4,200 locations in hundreds of cities nationwide. The partnership is now live.

This is Bilt’s latest move to build in its quest to build what it sees as the ultimate neighborhood ecosystem by adding Neighborhood Parking.

What makes Metropolis unique is that it is extremely tech-driven, with the intention of creating a seamless experience for customers using parking garages and lots.

Metropolis Vision technology at select locations means you literally drive in, drive out. No tickets to lose, no payment terminals to navigate. And regardless of the card you use, you’re earning those Bilt points as long as your Bilt and Metropolis accounts are linked.

To start earning points on parking, open your Bilt app and link your Metropolis account. If you already have a Metropolis account, your accounts will automatically connect if you use the same phone number as your Bilt account. If not, you will be prompted to create a new account.

Once registered, you can search for (and soon reserve) parking directly on the Bilt app. Your vehicle will automatically be recognized at Metropolis locations, so there’s no need to stop to grab a ticket or deal with paying on the way out.

Your selected card will be charged after leaving, earning you at least 1 Bilt point per $1 spent on each visit.

Hot Tip:

Bilt plans to eventually let members redeem points for parking, though the redemption rate hasn’t been announced. Until shown otherwise, we expect that transferring points to one of Bilt’s travel partners will likely offer better value.

Is This Good News?

This partnership between Bilt and Metropolis seems to be all good news for Bilt Rewards members and even merchant partners. Soon, merchants will be able to offer automatically validated parking for customers, further incentivizing customers to visit.

Plus, Bilt promises that its marketing engine will “actively direct” members to participating locations offering free and validated parking.

But it’s not all good news. Metropolis does not have the greatest reputation, with hundreds of complaints and negative reviews on sites like Trustpilot and Better Business Bureau. Most negative reviews complain about incorrect billing and a lack of customer support, so be sure to check your credit card statement carefully.

Final Thoughts

Bilt is continuing to expand beyond rent and dining and into everyday life.

With the addition of Neighborhood Parking in partnership with Metropolis, members can now earn points when parking with the nation’s largest parking network. Just be sure to check your bill after leaving the garage.
