Update:

On May 2, 2026, Spirit Airlines ceased operations. Applications for the Free Spirit® Travel Mastercard® and Free Spirit® Travel More World Elite Mastercard® are no longer available.

For the first time, Spirit Airlines has partnered with a transferable points program — and it’s Bilt Rewards.

Bilt has officially added Spirit Airlines Free Spirit as a transfer partner, allowing members to transfer Bilt Points to Spirit at a 1:1 ratio and redeem them for award flights. This marks the first-ever points transfer partnership for Spirit, giving travelers a new way to use transferable rewards to book flights using Free Spirit points.

Let’s take a look at the details of this new transfer partner.

Free Spirit Becomes Latest Bilt Rewards Transfer Partner

With this addition, Bilt Rewards members can now transfer points directly to Spirit Airlines’ Free Spirit loyalty program and redeem them across Spirit’s route network in the U.S., Caribbean, and Latin America.

Transfers are available at a 1:1 ratio, with a minimum transfer of 1,000 points. Once transferred, points can be redeemed for Spirit award flights, with pricing starting as low as 2,500 points for select routes. Spirit does not publish blackout dates for award seats, though redemption rates vary based on demand, route, and travel dates.

Spirit becomes Bilt’s 24th transfer partner, marking the first time the airline has allowed points transfers from an external rewards program.

Hot Tip:

Until now, the only ways to earn Free Spirit points were by flying Spirit, spending on the carrier’s co-branded cards — the Free Spirit® Travel More World Elite Mastercard® or Free Spirit® Travel Mastercard® — or using its shopping portal, making this a notable expansion of how travelers can build and redeem Spirit points.

Is Free Spirit a Good Addition?

Free Spirit can be a solid option for the right trip. Award flights start at just 2,500 points, which means this partnership could deliver real value when Spirit offers a nonstop route, a better schedule, or service to a destination that’s otherwise inconvenient to reach.

And those 2,500-point routes aren’t just flights in the middle of nowhere. They include Fort Lauderdale (FLL) to Austin (AUS), for example.

Of course, like most low-cost airlines, the fare isn’t the whole story. You may still pay extra for things like bags or seat assignments, which can add up. But if you pack light and want the easiest way to get where you’re going, transferring points to Free Spirit can make sense — especially when Spirit has a nonstop or offers the best schedule.

Final Thoughts

For travelers who already fly Spirit — or are open to trying out the carrier when the price and schedule work — this partnership adds a new, practical way to earn and redeem points. With Bilt becoming Spirit’s first-ever transfer partner, members now have another option to turn everyday rewards into flights, especially on shorter, budget-friendly routes.
