After having a codeshare agreement for years, Aer Lingus flights are finally bookable online using American Airlines AAdvantage miles.

Four years after forming a partnership, it is finally possible to book Aer Lingus award flights online using American Airlines AAdvantage miles, removing the need to call reservations to book your trip to Ireland and beyond.

This is great news for travelers, as it reduces friction during the booking process. Instead of calling American Airlines and hoping the agent can see the same award availability you’ve found, now, if you see it, you can book it.

This will also speed up the reservation process for most travelers and reduce the risk of human error. It also reduces the chances of award seats disappearing while you wait on hold.

How To Search and Book

Like all other award bookings with American Airlines, the process is very simple. Simply log in to your account on AA.com and search for flights between 2 cities that American Airlines and Aer Lingus serve.

At the time of writing, the only nonstop award flights we are seeing are in business class, available for 57,500 miles each way.
