At the start of this year, Hilton announced a first-of-its-kind relationship with AutoCamp. This outdoor-focused hospitality company aims to provide boutique lodging experiences among incredible natural landscapes.

Now, the relationship has taken a huge step forward, as you can now book an AutoCamp property through Hilton’s direct channels — and elite members can even look forward to on-property perks.

Let’s take a look at all the details!

AutoCamp Cape Cod Now Bookable Through Hilton

AutoCamp Cape Cod is the brand’s first outpost on the East Coast. It offers 108 suites across several accommodation types, including Airstreams, “luxury tents,” and cabins.

At the center of the property, guests will find the Clubhouse, an 8,100-square-foot space spread across 2 floors that offers fire pits both inside and out.

The resort is situated on 14 acres along the Shining Sea Bikeway and near incredible beaches and stunning natural landscapes.

As of today, May 16, 2024, AutoCamp Cape Cod can be booked via Hilton’s Autocamp landing page and the Hilton Honors mobile app (iOS, Android). It’s a great deal on points, as standard awards cost around 70,000 points per night in peak summer for a Luxury Tent or Airstream Suite.

Considering that the cash price is roughly $525 per night (including taxes and fees), you’re getting 0.75 cents in value when redeeming Hilton points. That’s well above our valuations of Hilton Honors points, which we approximate to be worth 0.5 cents each.

Hot Tip:

According to Hilton, all 8 AutoCamp properties — including AutoCamp Catskills, AutoCamp Yosemite, and AutoCamp Zion — will be available to book through direct channels in the coming weeks.

Earnings and Elite Status at AutoCamp Properties

While Hilton works to integrate the AutoCamp properties into its systems fully, Hilton Honors members will not be able to earn Hilton Honors points for ancillary purchases made at AutoCamp properties.

To compensate, Hilton is offering members 1,000 bonus Hilton Honors points for each stay completed by August 12, 2024. Members won’t have to wait too long to earn points for on-property purchases, though, as Hilton says this feature will be rolled out “in the coming weeks.”

If you have Hilton Honors elite status, you can expect some perks at AutoCamp properties, though they vary from what you’re entitled to at more typical Hilton properties:

  • Hilton Honors Silver: 2 eco-friendly water bottles
  • Hilton Honors Gold: 1 bundle of firewood per stay, 2 eco-friendly water bottles, and a room upgrade (subject to availability)
  • Hilton Honors Diamond: 1 bundle of firewood per stay, 1 s’mores kit per stay, 2 eco-friendly water bottles, and a room upgrade (subject to availability)

Final Thoughts

Hilton’s partnership with AutoCamp is certainly unique, showing that the brand is eager to capture new market segments. Younger travelers are keen on experiential travel and exploring our nation’s wide-open spaces, so it’s entirely likely that Hilton is onto something.

Nevertheless, we’re eager to see how this experiment works out. The integration of AutoCamp properties into Hilton’s systems is ongoing, and we’ll update this story as more developments unfold.
