Low-cost carrier Breeze Airways already offers nonstop flights between Vero Beach, Florida, and Westchester in suburban New York City. However, the airline is increasing frequencies on that route and adding an entirely new route from another suburban New York community — Long Island.

Here’s what to know about Breeze’s service increases between New York and Florida.

Breeze Ups Service, Adds New Route From Suburban NYC

Breeze Airways is adding frequencies on its Westchester (HPN) to Vero Beach (VRB) route and adding a new route between Long Island’s Islip Airport (ISP) and Vero Beach, as reported by The Bulkhead Seat.

The airline will fly 12 times weekly (twice daily with the exception of Saturdays) between Westchester and Vero Beach, while flights from Islip will begin on December 21, 2023, and will operate twice weekly, on Sundays and Thursdays. All flights will be operated by Breeze’s Airbus A220 aircraft.

The timing of the new service from Islip and increased service from Westchester coincides well with the spike in travel around the holidays from cities across the northern part of the country to sunnier, warmer Florida. Residents of both communities will be happy to learn there will be even more ways for them to escape the winter at a reasonable cost.

How To Book

As we mentioned, flights from Westchester to Vero Beach are already available while flights from Long Island aren’t available until December 21. You can book flights from $64 one-way directly on the airline’s website.

Breeze Airways doesn’t currently have a co-branded credit card, but you can still make the most out of your airline purchase with the right card. You’ll earn 5 points per dollar when booking your flight with The Platinum Card® from American Express directly with the airline or through AmexTravel.com (up to $500,000 per calendar year) or 3 points per dollar when you use the Chase Sapphire Reserve®. Alternatively, you could take advantage of cards with an annual travel credit, such as the $300 credit for travel booked through Capital One Travel with the Capital One Venture X Rewards Credit Card.

Hot Tip:

Planning to take advantage of the low-cost carrier’s new and increased service to Florida? Make sure you read up on Breeze’s baggage policies so you know what you’re getting into before you depart.

Final Thoughts

Breeze Airways continues to grow its network by connecting smaller, underserved airports with popular destinations across the country. These flights to the popular Vero Beach should be a hit with travelers living around New York City this holiday season!

The information regarding the Capital One Venture X Rewards Credit Card was independently collected by Upgraded Points and not provided nor reviewed by the issuer.
