The Avios-earning credit cards from Chase — the British Airways Visa Signature® Card, Aer Lingus Visa Signature® Card, and Iberia Visa Signature® Card — are offering the opportunity to earn a 100,000-Avios welcome bonus, but you have to do a bit of digging to track down this increased welcome offer.

Here is a closer look at the details of the new bonus, along with how to decide which card is the best option for you.

New Welcome Bonus for Avios-Earning Credit Cards

Here are the welcome bonuses being offered through Chase’s website:

However, if you navigate to the card page through each of the airlines’ websites instead of through Chase, you’ll find a welcome offer of 100,000 Avios after you spend $7,500 on purchases within the first 6 months of account opening. Here are the pages where we found these elevated offers:

Depending on your travel goals, this sum could be quite valuable if you know the best ways to redeem British Airways Avios. Also, don’t forget that Avios earned with any program can be transferred at a 1:1 rate to the others.

Avios Card Comparison

Here is a look at what each Avios card can offer to you. As you can see, they are largely similar but offer a few unique differences between each card.

Which Avios Card Should You Choose?

In our view, the British Airways Visa card offers the strongest combination of benefits, thanks to its 10% discount on British Airways flights departing the U.S., up to $600 in award flight fee credits each year, and the ability to earn the British Airways Travel Together Ticket.

Which Avios card you should choose largely depends on which airline you plan to fly with the most. Since your Avios can be transferred between all of the airlines, you’re not limited by redemption options, so picking the best card for you comes down to the specific card perks.

Final Thoughts

You can now earn up to 100,000 Avios on all 3 Avios-branded cards offered by Chase, so long as you apply for the offer directly through the airline, as opposed to applying through Chase directly.

While it does require a larger minimum spend requirement than the 75,000-Avios offer through Chase, the additional 25,000 points and additional 3 months that you have to meet the requirement should more than make up for it.
