British Airways has reopened an exclusive dining space within its first class lounge in London Heathrow’s Terminal 3, which welcomes a range of Oneworld partner airlines, including American Airlines.

The space returned with the resumption of some BA services from Terminal 3 that feature a first class cabin.

Access to the space is limited to just a few groups of people — let’s look at the details of this new space and how you can access it.

First Class Dining at Heathrow’s Terminal 3

As confirmed to Upgraded Points by British Airways, only a select few passengers will have access to the exclusive space with the airline’s Galleries First lounge in Terminal 3 at Heathrow Airport.

The space is not to be confused with BA’s Concorde Room — the most premium ground experience offered by British Airways in Terminal 5. This is where first class passengers departing from T5 will get to enjoy their First dining experience.

This development will be of particular interest to those heading to the U.S. with American Airlines, which operates nonstop service to 11 cities across the U.S. from Terminal 3.

However, access to this new space is very limited, with only passengers traveling on a first class ticket being able to enter.

Interestingly, British Airways Gold Guest List members will not have access to this lounge despite being eligible to visit the flagship Concorde Room in Terminal 5 no matter which cabin class they’re traveling in.

Hot Tip:

British Airways used to operate a Concorde Room in New York (JFK) Terminal 7. However, the airline moved into Terminal 8 to co-locate with American Airlines. In the process, BA replaced the former Concorde Room with 3 new lounges.

Final Thoughts

BA’s reopened and refreshed first class dining space at Heathrow’s Terminal 3 will be welcome news to American Airlines and British Airways first class passengers who will get to enjoy an enhanced dining experience before taking to the skies.

We’re intrigued to experience the new space for ourselves and will be sure to keep you posted once we’ve paid a visit.
