Soon, you’ll get to enjoy rosé all day with BA.

The British flag carrier has announced plans to open an exclusive bar serving only Whispering Angel rosé wine at one of its Heathrow Airport business class lounges in Terminal 5.

“Our customers are already telling us how much they enjoy the Whispering Angel rosé we are serving in our lounges, so we are thrilled to be opening an exclusive Whispering Angel bar,” Calum Laming, Chief Customer Officer at British Airways.

BA’s new Whispering Angel bar is part of the airline’s improvements in its beverage offerings.

Here’s the information you need to know.

Whispering Angel Bar Opening Soon at London Heathrow

Of the airline’s 3 business lounges in Terminal 5, the airline has chosen its smallest and lesser-known Galleries lounge located near the terminal’s B gates.

While the bar is slated to open this summer, the airline hasn’t announced a specific date.

This location may have something to do with the airline perhaps wanting to entice passengers away from the larger — and busier — Galleries lounge in the main Terminal A building.

Even if you can’t make it to the exclusive Whispering Angel bar, passengers visiting BA’s Galleries South, North, and Gatwick (LGW) lounges can enjoy a glass (or a few) of the pink wine.

Hot Tip:

To get access to British Airways’ Galleries business class lounges you’ll need to be flying in either Business or First class or have Oneworld Sapphire status or above. Having Alaska elite status or American elite status will earn you Oneworld status, though the tier depends on which level you have in either program.

The opening of the Whispering Angel bar is the cherry on top of the refurbishments and modernizations the airline has been working on in this lounge.

“We truly believe this will be a massive hit with customers and we are excited that its introduction will coincide with a newly refurbished lounge in the satellite at London Heathrow Terminal 5 B gates,” said Laming.

If you haven’t heard of it before, Whispering Angel rosé has become somewhat of a cultural phenomenon for wine drinkers everywhere — especially in the summer months.

And because British Airways operates the largest number of nonstop flights between the U.K. and the U.S. of any airline, there’s a high chance you’ll pass through Heathrow Airport and can rock up to the new Whispering Angel bar and grab a glass for yourself.

Final Thoughts

The introduction of a new bar feature at BA’s Galleries B gates lounge will be a welcome addition to passengers — especially those passing through the airport frequently.

Whether you’re a rosé drinker or not, we’d highly recommend heading to the B Gates lounge thanks to its tranquil and relaxing environment.
