Until October 5, 2026, travelers can purchase Dynasty Flyer miles with up to a 40% discount. Getting any discount requires buying at least 3,000 miles, while the best discount requires purchasing at least 21,000 miles.

This is a tiered promotion, offering a better discount at the following purchase volumes:

Buy 3,000 to 15,000 miles with a 10% discount.
Buy 16,000 to 20,000 miles with a 30% discount.
Buy 21,000+ miles with a 40% discount.

The typical price is $40 for 1,000 Dynasty Flyer miles, but the 40% discount drops that price to $24 for 1,000 miles. That’s a per-mile cost of 2.4 cents.

Members can purchase up to 120,000 miles per year, including purchased and gifted miles, and miles are valid for 36 months after purchase.

Why You May Want To Purchase Dynasty Flyer Miles

While we’d never recommend buying points and miles without a plan to use them, there are definitely times when it can make sense. The 2 most obvious examples are when you need just a few more miles to enable a redemption or when you’re looking at purchasing a flight, but the cost of purchasing the necessary miles for an award is lower.

Unfortunately, paying 2.4 cents per mile is more expensive than many miles sales, meaning you need to unlock above-average value using Dynasty Flyer miles to justify the purchase price.

Some of the best uses of Dynasty Flyer miles include economy flights within Asia for 35,000 miles one-way, lounge visits starting at 5,000 miles, and business class flights between the U.S. and Taiwan for 135,000 to 175,000 miles.

That said, there are other ways to book China Airlines flights or fly to/from Taiwan, possibly at better rates using other programs — and which wouldn’t require purchasing miles in this sale.

Other Ways To Get Dynasty Flyer Miles

Unfortunately, acquiring Dynasty Flyer miles isn’t as easy as transferring your credit card points if you live in the U.S. Dynasty Flyer doesn’t have any U.S. credit card transfer partners, and its only transfer partner is World of Hyatt. You can turn 1,250 Hyatt points into 500 Dynasty Flyer miles.
