Hilton is back with another offer to buy Hilton Honors points at a discounted price. The hotel chain is now offering a 100% bonus, selling points for as little as 0.50 cents each until July 24.

Let’s examine all the details of this promotion and when it makes sense to purchase Hilton points.

Buy Hilton Points Offer — The Details

Hilton Honors is out with a new offer that lets members buy points with a 100% bonus, bringing the per-point cost down to 0.50 cents. You may be targeted with a different offer or no offer at all, but you’ll need to buy at least 5,000 points to get a bonus. Buying 1,000 through 4,000 points doesn’t confer any bonus.

This sale ends on July 24, 2026. If you purchase the maximum number of points (240,000), you’ll take home 480,000 points for $2,400, which works out to 0.50 cents per point.

For reference, we value Hilton Honors points at 0.5 cents each. Hilton Honors members can usually purchase up to 80,000 points per year, but the maximum for this promotion has been raised to 240,000 points before the bonus. This means you can buy up to 480,000 points with this promotion after factoring in the 100% bonus.

Here’s some more information you should know about this latest promo:

  • This offer ends on July 24, 2026.
  • The bonus kicks in when purchasing 5,000 or more points.
  • Purchases of 1,000 through 4,000 points are priced at 1 cent per point.
  • Purchases are nonrefundable.
  • Points do not count toward Hilton elite status.

Is Buying Hilton Points Worth It?

There are times when purchasing points makes sense, especially when cash prices are high. Although Hilton Honors has devalued its best properties (looking at you, Conrad Maldives and Conrad Bora Bora), there are still instances when a promotion like this can be valuable.

Hilton Honors doesn’t publish an award chart, but it does offer standard and premium room award levels. At some luxury properties, standard rooms can now cost up to 250,000 points per night. Premium room rewards, meanwhile, have no limit and can frequently cost around 1 million points per night. Those are almost never worth it.

However, when you can find standard award availability, there’s still great value to be had. Here’s a look at cash rates at the Conrad Maldives Rangali Island, where rates for standard award rooms can be found for 160,000 points per night:

Hilton Honors gives you the fifth night free on award stays, which means a 5-night stay here will run you 640,000 points. With the current sale, if you’re targeted for the 100% bonus, you could buy the maximum 240,000 points for $2,400 and receive 480,000 points — enough to cover 75% of the points needed for your 5-night stay.

Since rates here can easily surpass $1,200 on prepaid, nonrefundable rooms, buying 160,000 points (at 0.50 cents each) would be worth it. You’ll pay $800 to get those 160,000 points, so you’ll save some money on your per-night cost with this strategy. Buying points here makes even more sense if you’re using the fifth-night-free benefit on points redemptions.

Other Ways To Earn Hilton Honors Points

The above example is great, but as we mentioned, Hilton Honors limits the number of points you can purchase each year. Luckily, if you’re dreaming of a luxurious vacation, there are other ways to earn plenty of Hilton Honors points:

Hot Tip:

Final Thoughts

It doesn’t usually make sense to purchase points without a specific redemption in mind. However, if you can find a good use for these points — and it makes sense to purchase them when you compare that to the cash price of the stay — this 100% bonus on Hilton points buying promotion is a good one.

Otherwise, you’ll want to rely on co-branded credit cards and transferring points from American Express Membership Rewards to build your balance of Hilton Honors points.
