Hyatt originally launched the Caption by Hyatt brand in Tennessee back in 2022. Now, it’s got another property in the state.

Coincidentally, this is just the second Caption by Hyatt property in the U.S. The original Memphis property now has a sibling, and the Nashville property is now open for guests.

Here’s what you should know about Caption by Hyatt Downtown Nashville – The Gulch — plus how to book this property with points.

About Caption by Hyatt Downtown Nashville – The Gulch

Caption by Hyatt Downtown Nashville – The Gulch is now open for guests, serving Music City’s growing hotel sector that’s rushing to keep up with the never-ending influx of tourists, musicians, and conference attendees heading to Nashville.

Located between downtown and the West End in the Gulch neighborhood, the hotel has 210 rooms, 2,200 square feet of meeting space, a gym, multi-use common spaces, a cocktail lounge, and a coffee bar.

Rooms include step-in showers with glass doors, TVs, blackout curtains, and views over the city.

Spaces throughout the hotel feature bold colors and locally inspired decorations that recall the Gulch neighborhood’s past as an industrial and railroad hub. Furnishings at the property include vintage leather sofas and hardwood floors, and the hotel also features sustainable choices like plant-based amenities that aren’t offered in single-use packaging.

There’s also an all-day café and cocktail lounge called Café Between that doubles as a coworking space with numerous seating and working configurations for guests.

How To Book

Caption by Hyatt Downtown Nashville – The Gulch participates in World of Hyatt, meaning you can earn and redeem Hyatt points when staying here. This is a Category 5 property, meaning you’ll pay between 17,000 and 23,000 points per night for a standard room.

We also found rates from $140 on some dates in January and February, meaning points redemptions here can fall below our average valuation of Hyatt points at 1.5 cents each. Paying cash for your room with your favorite travel rewards card, such as The World of Hyatt Credit Card, might be the better option.

Assigning this as a Category 5 property may look strange when the original Caption by Hyatt Beale Street Memphis is a Category 3 property and both Caption by Hyatt Namba Osaka (Japan) and Caption by Hyatt Zhongshan Park Shanghai (China) are Category 1 hotels.

However, the Category 5 assignment makes sense when evaluating the hotel’s offerings against other properties in the Gulch, one of Nashville’s trendiest neighborhoods.

Hot Tip:

To celebrate the hotel’s grand opening, World of Hyatt members can save up to 25% when they book by March 10, 2025, and stay by May 31, 2025. Non-members can save up to 20%.

Final Thoughts

There are now 2 Caption by Hyatt properties open in the U.S., and they’re both in Tennessee. Hyatt also recently broke ground on a third Tennessee location in Chattanooga, and the brand has plans to expand to California, Australia, Vietnam, and a second Japanese location in Tokyo.

If you’re heading to Nashville, the Caption by Hyatt is now open for guests.
