Carnival just revealed the details of its new Italian-themed ship, Carnival Venezia, which will debut in June of 2023. This ship is the first in a series of “Carnival Fun Italian Style” ships that will feature Italian-inspired decor and experiences.
Here are all of the details of this new Carnival ship.
Carnival Venezia Will Debut in June 2023
Carnival Venezia, which will accommodate 4,072 passengers and 1,424 crew members, will set sail on its first voyage on June 15, 2023, from New York City.
Onboard guests will recognize some familiar venues as well as brand-new dining, beverage, and entertainment concepts. The ship’s main atrium was modeled after the Piazza San Marco in Venice and the Lido deck was inspired by the Italian Riviera, complete with a retractable roof over the pool.
The Italian theme is also evident in the ship’s new category of staterooms called Terrazza. These rooms, which range from inside staterooms to balcony rooms to special Terrazza Cabana rooms, will have access to Terrazza Carnevale, a private deck area and lounge that offers perks like 2 whirlpools, continental breakfast on the patio, Terrazza-branded robes, a private sail-away event, and more.
Carnival Venezia’s Italian inspiration can also be found in the food and beverage options onboard. Java Blue Cafe will see the addition of gelato to its menu and there will be an all-new Italian specialty restaurant. Additional restaurants including Grand Canal, Marco Polo, and the Gondola Lounge will fit right in with the ship’s Italian theme.
The ship’s onboard entertainment will also have an Italian flair. Guests are encouraged to wear Venetian masks to enjoy the live music and fully-costumed crew members at the Captain’s Venetian Toast while the Italian Street Party features spaghetti and gelato eating contests.
Bottom Line: Carnival’s newest ship, Carnival Venezia, will debut in June of 2023 and will feature Italian-inspired spaces, guestrooms, dining options, and entertainment.
