Citi Merchant Offers work much like Amex Offers and Chase Offers, encouraging you to spend with your Citi card to save money through cash-back. By enrolling in these offers, you can save money with the merchant listed — whether it’s dining out, travel, putting gas in your car, or something else.

Until now, these offers have only been available on Citi’s consumer credit cards — not on small business cards or debit cards. Now, that’s changed, and consumer debit card holders can also enjoy these offers.

Here’s what you need to know.

What Are Citi Merchant Offers?

Citi Merchant Offers rotate regularly, and you need to add an offer to your card before making a purchase, but these offers can provide significant savings. You’ll receive a rebate as a statement credit after making an eligible purchase with the company indicated in the offer. Offers can include travel, gas, supermarkets, dining, and more.

These offers are similar to Amex Offers and Chase Offers, and they are targeted. That means an offer you see on one card can be different from offers on your other eligible cards — and can be different from what other cardholders see.

Additionally, you won’t receive the cash-back or statement credit unless you enroll first in the offer and then use that same card to make a qualifying purchase.

Citi Merchant Offers Available on Debit Cards

Previously, Citi Merchant Offers were only available on personal (consumer) Citi credit cards. They weren’t available on Citi’s small-business cards or debit cards.

Now, Citi debit cardholders can also use these offers to save money.

Using these offers on a debit card functions just like the offers available on credit cards. By adding an offer — for example, Best Buy or Lyft — to your card and then making a purchase with that merchant before the deadline, you can receive a statement credit.

Some offers provide a flat bonus (e.g., $50 statement credit) on a minimum purchase amount, while others provide a specific amount of cash-back, such as an extra 5%. Most offers have a maximum reward and an expiration date, so be sure to read the terms carefully.

This feature became available on debit cards on June 19, 2025; however, Citi only announced it today, June 23.

Final Thoughts

Citi Merchant Offers are now available on debit cards. That’s good news for anyone with a Citi banking account, as you can add these offers to your card for rebates on purchases. Saving money is always a good thing.
