Citi is emailing cardholders to let them know about the upcoming Citi Shop Day. Set for August 5 and August 6, 2025, you can earn up to 20x earnings from select online purchases.

The bonus earnings will be available for 48 hours only, and there are some steps you can take now to be ready for the extra rewards. Here’s how it works.

Citi Shop Day 2025

Those with a Citi credit card should get ready (and excited) for Citi Shop Day, which is coming on August 5 and 6, 2025.

The sale starts at 12 a.m. (midnight) on August 5 and ends at 11:59 p.m. ET on August 6, giving you 48 hours of online deals. Citi is teasing offers of up to 20x points, though we don’t know yet which merchants will offer the best earning rates until the deals go live.

The “Get Ready” button in the email leads to this link. To participate in these deals, you’ll need to add the Citi Shop browser extension. Luckily, you’ll be able to install it by following the link above or on your eligible iOS device.

You’ll also need to enroll at least 1 of your Citi cards in the Citi Shop program, a daily benefit that allows you to save money or earn extra points on online purchases, similar to other websites, browser extensions, and cash-back portals.

How Does Citi Shop Work?

Citi Shop is an online browser extension, and you can enroll here to find discounts or extra rewards opportunities for online purchases. Often, these are purchases you were going to make anyway, so paying less or getting extra points is an added bonus.

Once you have the browser extension installed, you’ll be notified if you’re visiting a merchant with a bonus offer that you could activate for money savings or extra Citi ThankYou Points. Alternatively, you can visit the Citi Shop website and search for merchants to see what offers are available before you start browsing products.
