Citi ThankYou Points may not be as popular as rivals American Express Membership Rewards and Chase Ultimate Rewards, but they certainly should be. Along with its existing slew of great transfer partners, Citi has just added another loyalty partner: ALL – Accor Live Limitless.

Let’s take a look at the details.

Details on ALL – Accor Live Limitless

This European hotel chain offers more than 5,000 properties worldwide, including notable names such as Fairmont, Grand Mercure, Ibis, and Mövenpick, among its 54 different brands.

However, it’s fair to presume that you haven’t stayed in an Accor property if you stick mainly to domestic travel. While the chain does have a footprint within the U.S., the bulk of its properties can be found internationally.

These run the gamut and include enviable options such as high-end Raffle hotels in the Maldives and the famous Fairmont Banff Springs.

This addition of ALL – Accor Live Limitless to Citi’s transfer partners makes it the third hotel loyalty partner for the card issuer. The other 2 include Choice Privileges and Wyndham Rewards, both of which tend to be more budget-oriented.

This also makes Citi ThankYou Rewards the second major transferable program to partner with ALL — the other of which is Capital One Miles. However, unlike Capital One Miles, the transfer ratio of Citi to ALL is 2:1.

In other words, 2 Citi ThankYou Points become just 1 ALL Reward point. This is a shame since ALL’s award program is revenue-based, meaning you won’t find any sweet spots when redeeming your reward points.

Instead, you’ll get a flat €40 (~$44) off for every 2,000 ThankYou Points you spend. This means that each point is worth 2.2 cents.

However, it’ll take you 2 Citi ThankYou Points to make 1 ALL Reward point, and we value Citi ThankYou Points at 1.6 cents each. That means you’ll be transferring 3.2 cents worth of points only to receive just 2.2 cents of value.

This makes it a fairly poor proposition for those looking to maximize their rewards, though it’s still better than redeeming those points on options such as gift cards or statement credits.

Hot Tip:

Citi ThankYou Points transfer over to Choice Hotels at a more favorable ratio (1:2) than any other flexible point currency.

Final Thoughts

Citi has added ALL – Accor Live Limitless as its third hotel transfer partner, adding to the ranks of Choice, Wyndham, and its other airline partners. However, as it takes 2 Citi ThankYou Points to make just 1 ALL Reward point, which doesn’t present the greatest option for value. Rather, stick with more lucrative options such as Choice Privileges or Avianca LifeMiles if you’re looking to maximize your Citi ThankYou Rewards redemptions.
