Those looking to stretch the value of their Citi ThankYou Points will be happy to learn about a new 20% transfer bonus from Citi to Qantas Frequent Flyer.

This bonus is available through November 8, 2025, and the bonus is built into the transfer partner page, meaning it’s clear, obvious, and doesn’t require any guesswork.

Is it worth transferring points during this bonus? Let’s take a look at some good uses of Qantas points to see if this can help you plan an upcoming trip.

Details of Citi Transfer Bonus to Qantas

Typically, you can transfer Citi ThankYou Points to Qantas Frequent Flyer at a 1:1 ratio, meaning 1,000 Citi points become 1,000 Qantas points.

With this 20% transfer bonus, though, transfers of Citi ThankYou Points will use a 1:1.2 ratio until November 8, 2025. That means 1,000 Citi points become 1,200 Qantas points. If you log in to your Citi account and go to the points transfer page, you’ll see this bonus listed clearly — along with the terms of the offer.

What Can You Do With Qantas Points?

Qantas is a Oneworld airline, partnering with the likes of American Airlines, Alaska Airlines, British Airways, and more. That means you can redeem Qantas points to fly not just on Qantas itself but also on these partner airlines.

Some of our favorite uses of Qantas points include:

  • Flying Qantas’ incredible first class between the U.S. and Australia, starting at 195,400 points per person from the West Coast
  • Short-haul economy flights with American in the U.S., starting at 9,200 points per person
  • East Coast to Europe with Oneworld airlines, starting at 23,300 points in economy
  • Round-the-world tickets with a mix of Oneworld airlines

These numbers reflect Qantas’ new award chart, which went into effect on August 5, 2025. Unfortunately, the new chart came with higher award costs for many flights.

Final Thoughts

From now through November 8, 2025, there’s a 20% transfer bonus available when sending Citi ThankYou Points to Qantas Frequent Flyer. Qantas’ loyalty program doesn’t always offer the best price when booking award tickets on Oneworld carriers, so be sure to compare your options.

If you like what you see from Qantas and have Citi points to use, you’ll need 20% fewer of them right now, thanks to this offer.
