When you think of Orlando, the busiest tourist destination in the U.S., you don’t think of great beaches. Located in central Florida, a beach is one thing this destination lacked — until now.

With the opening of the Crystal Lagoons project, Orlando now has an 8-acre body of water with beaches, surrounded by more than 10,000 guest rooms!

Here are the details you’ll want to know about this new beach and resort area in Orlando.

Orlando’s Newest Beach Attraction and Resorts are Open

Home to well-known tourist attractions, including Disney World and Universal Studios, Orlando is a popular vacation destination. However, until now, the one thing it lacked was a beach.

A new 8-acre man-made lagoon is now open as part of the 1,100-acre Evermore Orlando Resort complex. This new lagoon is powered by Crystal Lagoons technology, designed to use 100 times fewer chemicals and only 2% of the energy used by traditional swimming pools.

As part of this project, over 10,000 guest rooms will be available.

For families looking for space to spread out, there are many options for vacation homes at the Evermore Orlando Resort.

  • Flats: These spacious flats have 4 bedrooms and 4 bathrooms and can accommodate up to 11 people. Each unit features a kitchen and private deck.
  • Houses: Resort houses feature 5 to 11 bedrooms, accommodating up to 32 people. Each house has a private heated pool, outdoor kitchen, washer & dryer, and up to 7,800 square feet of space.
  • Villas: Each 2 to 4-bedroom villa is located on the Jack Nicklaus signature golf course and features a full kitchen with separate living and dining areas.

For those who love booking hotels with points, Orlando’s first Conrad hotel will be an exciting option. Less than 3 miles from Disney World, the Conrad Orlando will feature a dedicated shuttle to the theme park, golf, a spa, 5 restaurants, and an outdoor pool.

Rooms at Conrad Orlando start at ~$530 per night or 90,000 Hilton Honors points per night.

Bottom Line:

The brand new 1,100-acre Evermore Resort Orlando is now open. It features Crystal Lagoons technology, which brings an energy-efficient lagoon and beach area to Orlando. In addition to a variety of villas and homes available, the Conrad Orlando will offer a traditional hotel experience on the property.

Final Thoughts

The opening of Evermore Orlando Resort and the Crystal Lagoons beach area in Orlando is an exciting development for families interested in a Florida vacation.

Plenty of accommodation options are available on the 1,100-acre resort, including homes, flats, and villas that can accommodate large groups and traditional hotel rooms at the Conrad Orlando. The 8-acre lagoon and beach area make this resort a destination unto itself.
