Would you believe if we said you could fly to Spain and back for less than a round-trip to Cancun?

Spanish low-cost carrier LEVEL is currently offering round-trip flights from Boston (BOS) and New York (JFK) to Barcelona (BCN) from just $285. We’ve written about its great fares before, but they’ve perhaps never been as low as this.

Let’s take a look.

Fare Deal — The Details

Flying long-haul on a low-cost carrier doesn’t get more tempting than this. LEVEL’s round-trip fares from the East Coast to Barcelona, at $285, are likely the lowest we’ve ever seen.

Even better, LEVEL isn’t the stingiest low-cost airline. These “Light” fares include a personal item and a carry-on bag. For $70 more each way, you could upgrade to a “Comfort” fare if you need a checked bag and like to enjoy complimentary meals and drinks when you fly.

The fares are widely available from late September 2025 through March 2026. Low season is an excellent time to visit Barcelona, as it gets super crowded in spring and summer.

  • Class: Economy
  • Routes: Boston (BOS) and New York (JFK) to Barcelona (BCN)
  • Dates: September 2025 through March 2026
  • Rates: As low as $285 round-trip

Here’s an example of a fare from Boston.

And here’s another from New York next year.

Hot Tip:

Now that you have your flights figured out, you need to find somewhere to stay. Barcelona is cracking down on Airbnb and other vacation rentals, so why not check out some of the best hotels in the city to book with points instead? My all-time favorite is the Barcelona EDITION.

How To Book

The best way to find the dates that work for you is to head to Google Flights. We recommend booking these fares directly with LEVEL rather than a third-party alternative. Once you find suitable flights, consider paying with a travel rewards credit card that will earn you bonus points for your airfare purchase.

Several credit cards offer bonus categories for booking airfare directly through airlines, ensuring you maximize your purchase.

Final Thoughts

Who would have thought flying to Spain could be less expensive than flying to Mexico or the Caribbean? Thanks to fares like these, you should absolutely consider Barcelona as a destination for your fall or winter vacation this year.
