Update:

The offer mentioned below has expired and is no longer available.

Last time we wrote about this deal, it was $124; this time it’s a whole $40 cheaper.

We’re talking $84 for a round-trip flight between Los Angeles and New York — that’s practically unheard of. Better still, if you’re a Saver$ Club member you can snag these fares for even less!

The idea of flying transcon with Spirit probably isn’t everyone’s idea of fun, but at these prices, even we’re considering it!

Here are the details of this deal and how you can book it yourself.

Details of the Los Angeles to New York Deal

As Spirit is an ultra-low-cost carrier, these crazy good fares only include 1 personal item measuring up to 45 x 35 x 20 centimeters (18 x 14 x 8 inches).

Unless you can pack super light, the likelihood is you’ll need to check a bag which does bump up these prices somewhat.

Here are the details:

  • Class: Economy
  • Routes: Los Angeles (LAX) to Newark (EWR) and vice versa
  • Dates: February and March 2025
  • Rates: from $84 round-trip

With Valentine’s Day just around the corner, these fares could make for the perfect surprise trip for that special someone:

And this trip will cost you just $60 if you’re a member of Spirit’s Saver$ Club.

Starting at $87, there are great fares to be had in the opposite direction, too.

You could save even more if you buy the ticket directly at the airport.

Hot Tip:

Checked bags of up to 40 pounds (18 kilograms) start at $48, while carry-ons no larger than 22 x 18 x 10 inches (56 x 46 x 25 centimeters) start at $51. Here’s a full guide on flying Spirit Airlines, including everything you need to know about baggage.

Best Ways To Book

Even though Spirit has the Free Spirit frequent flyer program and the option to pay for flights with points, we suggest paying with cash hit on this occasion, given that these fares are so cheap.

We’d recommend using one of the many travel credit cards that reward you for paying for airfare. In this case, you might consider the Free Spirit® Travel More World Elite Mastercard®, which would earn you 3x points per $1 spent on this deal!

Final Thoughts

These fares are the lowest we have ever seen to fly transcontinentally between L.A. and New York.

A deal this good to fly from coast to coast won’t be around for long, so we recommend whipping your credit card out fast if you’re tempted.
