Auckland is the gateway to the insanely beautiful country of New Zealand. Thanks to American and United Airlines, you can get there from cities across the U.S. from $750 round-trip.

Considering these economy fares usually cost twice as much, we think this is an excellent deal.

Here’s everything you need to know about the deal and how to book it for yourself.

Fare Deal — Details

American and United are competing on this deal and offering very similar pricing on these routes to Auckland (AKL) from Boston (BOS), Dallas (DFW), and Fort Lauderdale (FLL). This provides tempting options for both American and United from the center of the country and the East Coast — not common on cheap flight deals to Oceania.

The routing comes with at least one stop in each direction.

Even though both airlines’ fares are their cheapest Basic Economy, the deal includes a carry-on and checked bag as these are long-haul international trips.

You’ll also enjoy a full meal and drink service on the international leg across the Pacific.

  • Class: Economy
  • Routes: Boston (BOS), Dallas (DFW), and Fort Lauderdale (FLL) to Auckland (AKL)
  • Dates: October 2025 until March 2026
  • Prices: From $750

We found the cheapest fares from Fort Lauderdale (FLL) for $750 with United. Move over, Miami.

There’s excellent availability from Boston (BOS) with American Airlines, which even includes the Christmas holiday travel season. These fares start a little higher at $788 round-trip.

Best Ways To Book

I came across these American and United Airlines flight deals to New Zealand by using Google Flights — my favorite flight-finding tool.

You’ll thank yourself for booking directly with American or United, rather than via a third-party booking site. While prices are sometimes cheaper, third-party sites are renowned for providing inferior customer service, especially when something goes wrong or you need to change your booking.

A final tip would be to book using a credit card that rewards you for booking flights. Both American and United have their own co-branded credit cards that you might want to consider. Other cards like The Platinum Card® from American Express come highly recommend as alternatives for handsome rewards on flight purchases.

Hot Tip:

When booking these deals directly with either American or United, paying for these flights with the Amex Platinum card would earn you 5 Membership Rewards points per $1 spent (up to $500,000 per year on these purchases, then 1 point per $1 spent).

Final Thoughts

Ready, set, book! If I hadn’t already planned my trip to Auckland for New Year, I’d be booking this myself. These flights are available for half the price of what you’ll typically find on routes to New Zealand.
