Update:The offer mentioned below has expired and is no longer available.

Frontier and Spirit’s crazy-low fares from the East Coast down to Miami have returned.

With round-trip fares starting at $44, this could be just what you need to escape the cold this coming winter.

Here are the details you need to book a trip to get some sun during the colder months.

Fare Deal — Details

Ultra-low-cost carriers aren’t usually our thing, but with fares this low, even we could be convinced!

Don’t let the bag fees put you off, either. The fares are so low that even if you end up paying for baggage, you’re still getting a heck of a deal. And, if you’re traveling in a group, being conservative with your packing and sharing a suitcase can save you more and make these fares even more appealing.

Fire up Google Flights to find available dates and then book directly with whichever carrier works best for you.

Hot Tip:

Remember, as well as charging for a checked bag, Frontier and Spirit even charge to bring a carry-on bag with you. Take a look at Frontier’s baggage policies and Spirit’s baggage policies before booking so you know what you’re signing up for before you head to the airport.

  • Class: Economy
  • Routes: Boston (BOS), New York (LGA), and Philadelphia (PHL) to Miami (MIA)
  • Dates: September through December 2023
  • Rates: From $44 round-trip

The cheapest fare is from Boston to Miami with Spirit from $44:

Next, jumping up $14, are Frontier’s fares from New York to Miami from $58:

And it’ll cost you the same from Philly, too:

Best Ways To Book

If you’re interested in any of these flights, we’d advise using a credit card that rewards you for travel purchases. The Platinum Card® from American Express would earn you 5x Membership Rewards points for flights booked directly with the airline or with AmexTravel.com (up to $500,000 on these purchases per calendar year, then 1x).

For Spirit bookings, using the airline’s co-branded Free Spirit® Travel More World Elite Mastercard® would earn you 3x points on Spirit flights. That’s not to mention the other benefits of the Free Spirit World Elite card.

The Frontier Airlines World Mastercard® earns even more with 5x miles on eligible purchases at flyfrontier.com.

Final Thoughts

Frontier and Spirit’s ultra-low-fares starting at just $44 are the perfect excuse to treat yourself to a Miami getaway this winter.

See you on the beach!
