Delta One is set to launch on another domestic route within Delta’s network next year. Starting in March, passengers will be able to book Delta One tickets on frequencies between Atlanta (ATL) and Los Angeles (LAX) that are operated by wide-body aircraft.

Here’s a look at all the details and what it means for you.

Atlanta-Los Angeles Will Soon Become a Delta One Route

Reddit users have pointed out that Delta is now selling proper Delta One tickets on wide-body frequencies for flights between Atlanta (ATL) and Los Angeles (LAX) beginning in late March of next year.

Delta typically offers 10 nonstop flights between the cities every day, 3 of which are operated by wide-body aircraft such as the Boeing 767-300 and the Airbus A350-900. Through March 28, 2026, these wide-body flights are sold with a domestic first-class cabin; however, for flights from March 29 and beyond, Delta One tickets will be available for purchase.

While nothing will change with the seat itself — you’d still have access to a lie-flat seat regardless of the class of service being sold — there will be changes to the experience.

One of the most exciting is access to Delta One Lounges. While one doesn’t exist yet in Atlanta, there is a (very impressive) Delta One Lounge in Los Angeles that you can access with your ticket.

On board, you can expect a more robust offering, including service, food, drinks, amenities, bedding, and more.

And there’s another difference to note: On these Delta One flights, Delta Medallion elite members who are eligible for complimentary upgrades will be cleared on the day of travel, not the normal window (5 days ahead of departure for Diamond and Platinum members, 3 days for Gold members, and 1 day for Silver members).

Final Thoughts

Delta will soon introduce the full Delta One experience to another domestic flight, which is typically reserved for transcontinental flights between New York (JFK) or Boston (BOS) and California (LAX, SFO), in addition to select Hawaii routes.

Offered on 3 daily flights between Atlanta and Los Angeles, this will give passengers booking tickets in the front of the cabin a far more exclusive experience (especially if originating in LA), and may even set the stage for Delta to expand its domestic Delta One offerings even further.
