Delta’s premium-only lounge has finally arrived at Seattle-Tacoma International Airport (SEA), becoming the fourth hub in its network to unveil this exclusive space.

Upgraded Points attended a media preview ahead of the official opening on Thursday, June 26, at 11 a.m. PT.

This Delta One lounge opening is especially noteworthy as it marks Delta’s first-ever dual-atrium, integrated space. Delta One passengers will overlook the newest Delta Sky Club, the second location at the airline’s Seattle hub. The Delta One Lounge, situated on the upper level, is reserved exclusively for passengers traveling in Delta One cabins.

“No Delta One lounge is the same, and the design of each is truly what sets each location apart,” said Tim Genovese, director of Sky Clubs operators, in an exclusive interview with Upgraded Points. “With an international-heavy Delta One market at Seattle, we wanted to bring a premium space dedicated to our most premium passengers.”

Keep reading for our first impressions of the newest Delta One lounge at Seattle.

Delta One Lounge at Seattle (SEA)

Delta One passengers can visit dedicated check-in lanes at Seattle-Tacoma International Airport (SEA). Unlike the Delta One lounge at LAX, there’s no private entrance with a direct security checkpoint leading into the lounge.

This is where Delta One passengers will check in before their flight.

While this may be a letdown for some, space limitations at SEA meant a private check-in area was the most Delta could offer for this hub, according to lounge executives.

Delta One Lounge SEA Lanes
No private check-in desk, but 3 dedicated staff members to assist guests.

That said, the lanes are clearly marked off with Delta One signage, and a room divider separates the space from standard check-in, attempting to make the area feel a bit more private.

Delta One passengers have a separate check-in area from other travelers.

In addition to 3 check-in desks, passengers can access 2 self-serve kiosks inside the Delta One area.

Use the self-serve kiosks for simple matters.

A small table with water and snacks was also available when leaving the check-in area, leading you directly to TSA checkpoints.

This isn’t the most luxurious check-in area ever, but it is separate from standard lanes.
Hot Tip:

Delta One lounges are also available at Boston (BOS), Los Angeles (LAX), and New York (JFK), with more at other hubs on the way. Read our guide to Delta One lounges to learn how to gain access and see what other amenities are available at other locations!

The Interior

Upon clearing security, you’ll want to make your way to Gate A11, where the Delta One Lounge is located. There is signage for 2 separate lounges, as the Delta Sky Club occupies the third floor. The Delta One lounge is on the fourth floor.

When asked how travelers would navigate the setup, Genovese shared that the distinctiveness of the Delta One Lounge experience would speak for itself. Lounge ambassadors personally greet guests and show them the way to the lounge.

“What sets the Delta One Lounge apart is its full-service approach,” Genovese said. “Delta One passengers are greeted at the entrance, identified with their ticket, then seated and personally attended to by dedicated staff throughout their stay for a full-service experience.”

Delta One Lounge SEA Seating Overview
Lounge or restaurant?

Spanning the upstairs level only, this premium lounge measures around 10,000 square feet, seating up to 221 people.

Delta One Lounge SEA Upper Floor
Capacity for up to 221 passengers inside and on the wraparound terrace.

The Delta One lounge at Seattle is very similar in size to the location at Los Angeles. However, this new location is unique as it features the first-ever dual-atrium layout for a Delta One Lounge.

Delta One Lounge SEA Dining
Delta One passengers can overlook the new Sky Club.

From the moment travelers walk in, the new space feels like an upscale restaurant, which was intended. According to feedback from Seattle-based travelers, this Delta One lounge has been designed mindfully to focus on food and beverage — though travelers may be disappointed to find there aren’t any nap pods or wellness-based amenities you may find in other Delta One lounges.

Delta One Lounge SEA Seating
Wood tones and pops of emerald, paying homage to the Emerald City.

Almost all of the seating consists of tables with chairs or booth-style arrangements, in contrast to the new Sky Club downstairs, which offers a mix of lounge chairs for relaxing and communal tables for working.

The booths are particularly comfortable and spacious. No matter where you sit, you’ll find a power outlet with USB-C ports.

Convenient charging access.

When you first walk into the lounge, you’ll instantly notice the delightful sounds and smells of the kitchen. However, it’s tucked away from the entrance, with even more seating available.

Delta One Lounge SEA Kitchen Views
I loved this open-faced kitchen.

The majority of seating in the lounge is designed for those traveling in pairs, but near the open kitchen, there are a few larger tables well-suited for families or groups.

You can find a few larger tables near the kitchen.

Adjacent to the kitchen is a “premium bar.”

Notably, there aren’t any barstools, as it seems guests are intended to order their cocktails, wine, or beer and enjoy them while seated at the tables.

Outdoor Terrace

The outdoor terrace wraps around 270 degrees and is massive, accommodating up to 72 guests. The patio furniture is exceptionally comfortable and comes from Missoni, an Italian luxury brand and key Delta partner.

One of the best features of this lounge.

It’s a refreshing spot to enjoy the fresh Pacific Northwest air and take in scenic views of forests — or even Mount Rainier on a clear day.

The terrace is fully covered, making it accessible and comfortable throughout the year so guests can enjoy Seattle’s mild weather, even when it rains.

Beautiful patio chairs.

On the other side of the terrace, you can take in views of Delta’s maintenance hangar for some quality planespotting.

Complimentary Wi-Fi

The Delta One Lounge has a private Wi-Fi network — even separate from the Delta Sky Club downstairs — ensuring that guests can get connected quickly upon entering the password.

The speeds were solid and allowed me to upload roughly 100 images to write this story within minutes.

Departures Board

Near the entrance as you walk into the main dining area, you’ll find a departures board with up-to-date flight information.

To the left, there’s a screen displaying the virtual queues for the service desk and shower suites, which we’ll cover in more detail shortly.

Restrooms

The restrooms are located to the right as you enter the lounge.

New Delta Sky Club SEA Restrooms
Men’s and women’s restrooms.

This restroom was smaller than anticipated, offering just 3 stalls and 2 sinks.

Delta One Lounge SEA Bathroom Sinks
The Delta Sky Club bathrooms downstairs are much larger.

While it doesn’t offer private restrooms like those in the Delta One Lounge at LAX, each stall has a heavy, floor-to-ceiling door for added privacy.

Delta One Lounge SEA Toilet Stalls
Heavy doors.

There’s also a small powder area across from the bathroom stalls.

Smaller restroom than I would have expected.

Showers

For a lounge of this size, it was surprising to find only 2 shower suites — and they’re actually located downstairs in the Delta Sky Club.

Shower suites are downstairs.

Depending on how much time you have and how busy the Delta One Lounge and Delta Sky Club are, you might face a lengthy wait for a shower between cleanings.

New Delta Sky Club SEA Shower Room One
I love Delta’s shower suites.

One of the shower suites is wheelchair accessible; it’s designed without a sliding glass door.

The amenities are abundant, including a hair dryer, bathrobes, towels, washcloths, Grown Alchemist products, and feminine hygiene items.

You also can request complimentary toiletries, such as a dental kit or a hairbrush.

Food and Drinks

Dining

All meals are served à la carte, with menus provided when you’re seated. The menu at the media preview is the same one planned for the official opening on Thursday, though it may change in the future.

Delta One Lounge Menu
Today’s menu.

I ordered a beautifully crafted cappuccino with my lunch, topped with a monogram of the Upgraded Points logo. The waiter mentioned that staff can surprise and delight guests with custom messages or images, which I thought was a charming and personal touch.

Delta One Capuccino
How’s this for a cappuccino?

I sampled an array of items, starting with the edamame dumplings with a delicious soy sauce-based broth.

Edamame Dumplings Delta One SEA
I saw the chefs make these dumplings by hand.

I also enjoyed the yellowtail crudo, which was fresh and citrusy.

Crudo Delta Sky Club
Crudo with bites of watermelon.

The standout dish — and the one everyone couldn’t stop talking about, from media guests to Delta employees — was undoubtedly the Dungeness crab cannelloni. Fair warning: It was surprisingly spicy. Even as someone who enjoys a bit of heat, I was caught off guard that the menu didn’t include a spice warning.

Delta One Lounge SEA Crab
If you like spicy food, you’ll love this dish.

I also gave the ramen a try, though it arrived lukewarm and lacked the bold flavor I was hoping for. That said, I did appreciate the generous portion of fresh vegetables that accompanied the dish.

Ramen Delta One
I wouldn’t order the ramen again.

However, the meal was perfectly capped off with this dessert called the “Coffee in Seattle.” It felt like a take on tiramisu, and I thoroughly enjoyed the spongy texture plus the sweet and salty bits.

Delta One Lounge Dessert
A delicious dessert that wasn’t overly sweet.
Bottom Line:

The dining experience at this lounge is top-notch and likely surpasses what you’ll be served on board, which means more time to rest during your flight!

Bar

Alongside the food menu, Delta One guests can enjoy complimentary cocktails, mocktails, and spirits.

I don’t drink alcohol, and I was unable to try the mocktails as they weren’t ready yet during the media preview.

Delta One Lounge SEA Premium Bar
A truly beautiful bar.

That said, I appreciated that many cocktails were inspired by the international destinations served from Delta’s Seattle hub.

How To Access the Delta One Lounge at Seattle (SEA)

The Delta One Lounge at SEA will operate from 8:30 a.m. to 8 p.m. daily.

As mentioned, the network of Delta One Lounges is separate from Delta Sky Clubs. With Delta Sky Clubs, eligible American Express cardholders receive a set number of visits each year and can visit with a same-day Delta boarding pass. (Basic economy ticket holders are not allowed into the Delta Sky Club, as per a recent lounge access change.)

Delta One Lounges, like this brand-new location in Seattle, are much more exclusive. Access is limited to travelers flying in Delta One (on either international or domestic routes) or in business and first class on SkyTeam partner airlines, and you can enter whether departing or arriving.

In addition, Delta 360 members with a same-day Delta First Class ticket can also access the lounge before or after their flight.

Final Thoughts

The new Delta One Lounge will make you feel like you’re in an upscale rooftop restaurant. While there are a few areas that seemed to be an oversight — such as the lack of shower suites, wellness pods, and dedicated workspaces found in other Delta One lounges — the curated dining, stylish interiors, and attention easily crown this the best lounge at Seattle’s airport now.

It’s clear Delta is investing in a more luxurious ground experience, and this lounge sets a promising tone for what’s to come in other key hubs. Next up: Salt Lake City (SLC).
