Update:The offer mentioned below has expired and is no longer available.

You’ve got your flight booked — now what?

There’s a new Amex Offer that can get you $50 back when you spend at least $300 on a Delta Stays booking through the airline’s Travel Extras portal, powered by Expedia.

Here are the details on how you can save a solid chunk of money on a future hotel reservation.

Details of New Delta Stays Amex Offer

Travelers can book hotel nights, vacation homes, and rental cars through the Delta Travel Extras portal. If you’ve used Expedia before, the Travel Extras portal offers a similar look and feel that many are familiar with already.

With the new Amex Offer, eligible cardholders can get a $50 statement credit after spending at least $300 on pre-paid Delta Stays through the airline’s travel portal.

You’ll need to hit enroll before you use that same card to book a prepaid stay, but here are some other details you should know:

  • Expires on December 31, 2023
  • Excludes vacation rentals, car rentals, and gift card purchases
  • Requires minimum spend of $300 in one or more purchases

I found this Amex Offer on my Delta SkyMiles® Platinum Business American Express Card, but it’s worth checking multiple cards on your account before enrolling in the Amex Offer.

Hot Tip:

The Travel Extras portal will be considered a third-party booking. If you’re booking a property from a major hotel chain, you may lose out on any elite status benefits or additional rewards associated with a particular loyalty program.

Earn 2x SkyMiles Through Delta Travel Extras Portal

The deal gets even better knowing that Delta SkyMiles members can earn bonus miles on all of their hotel stays booked through the portal. You’ll earn 2x miles on the hotel rate for every completed stay, minus the taxes and fees associated with the reservation.

Delta’s Cyber Monday sale is also happening simultaneously — that’s if you can act fast. Until tomorrow, November 29, you can earn an additional 2,000 bonus miles for spending at least $200 on the portal and an additional 4,000 bonus miles for stays completed before January 15, 2024.

Travelers who take advantage of this limited-time deal and spend $300 can earn roughly 6,600 miles and get $50 off with this Amex Offer — not shabby if you need to book a hotel anytime soon!

However, it’s worth noting that hotel bookings through Delta Stays will not earn MQDs toward Medallion status.

Final Thoughts

Amex Offers are a great way to save money on travel, dining, and other expenses, and this promotion is no exception. Check your accounts to see if you’re targeted for this Delta Amex Offer to save an easy $50 off a hotel booking.
