After a multi-year hiatus, Disney Cruise Line will return to New York City in 2027 with a string of sailings along the East Coast ranging from 4 to 7 nights each.

Here’s everything you need to know about this exciting update.

New Disney Cruise Line Itineraries Include New York

Disney Cruise Line has announced several new sailings for late 2027 and early 2028, and they include itineraries departing from New York City.

The cruise line was last in the Big Apple in 2024 when it christened the then-new Disney Treasure ship. It will return to the city with the Disney Wish in September 2027 with 7 sailings of 4 to 7 nights each from New York to Bermuda, sailing along the East Coast of North America during the peak season for fall foliage.

The line also shared more details about additional sailings for fall 2027 and spring 2028, which include departures from Puerto Rico, Panama, California, Texas, and Florida. Ports of call for these sailings include Mexico, the Bahamas, the Caribbean, and Disney’s private islands, Castaway Cay and Lookout Cay.

These new itineraries will be available for bookings for some Castaway Club members as of August 31, and they’ll become available to the general public as of September 8, 2026.

Many of these itineraries are already loaded on Disney Cruise Line’s website, though they’re marked as “coming soon.”

This isn’t the extent of the exciting news for Disney Cruise Line fans, though.

The cruise line shared a few more pieces of news, including the introduction of a brand-new ship, the Disney Believe, late next year. It will be the fourth Wish-class ship in the fleet and will feature a new lineup of characters throughout the ship: Tinker Bell on the bow, Woody and Buzz Lightyear on the stern, and Moana in the Grand Hall.

Finally, the line will introduce an entirely new class of ship in 2029.

Final Thoughts

Disney Cruise Line has shared several updates about its future, including a return to New York City with sailings throughout late 2027 and early 2028, an all-new ship joining the fleet late next year, and a new class of ship set to debut at the end of the decade.

If you’re interested in booking one of these new itineraries, mark your calendar for September 8 — unless you’re a Castaway Club member, in which case you’ll be able to start booking in just a few days.
