Earlier this year, Disney Vacation Club detailed a new resort that’s scheduled to open at Walt Disney World Resort in Orlando in the summer of 2027. Now, we have a confirmed opening date and more details about guest rooms at Disney’s Lakeshore Lodge.

We also know when guests will be able to make reservations at this exciting new property.

“Inspired by Walt Disney’s lifelong admiration for the great outdoors, [Disney’s Lakeshore Lodge] will offer our members and guests an opportunity to reconnect with nature while creating cherished family memories at Walt Disney World Resort,” said Bill Diercksen, senior vice president and general manager, Disney Vacation Club.

Here’s a look at everything we know so far about this upcoming Disney Vacation Club property.

Disney’s Lakeshore Lodge Opening on July 1, 2027

Set on Bay Lake, entirely within the Walt Disney World Resort grounds, the forthcoming Disney’s Lakeshore Lodge will embody Walt Disney’s affinity for nature. Guests can expect tributes to many iconic nature-focused stories — including “Bambi,” “Pocahontas,” and “Brother Bear” — throughout the property’s architecture, art, and general environment.

The property will place a strong emphasis on its natural setting, with floor-to-ceiling glass windows prominently featured to take in the lush surroundings. Plus, the grounds will offer a dazzling display of “native flora and fauna,” and as an added bonus, will be an ideal place to enjoy incredible views of the Magic Kingdom fireworks at night.

The resort will feature 967 rooms, ranging from studios to villas with several bedrooms, all designed with family-friendly features.

Disney’s Lakeshore Lodge will also debut exclusive 1- and 2-bedroom standalone lake houses dotted along the lakeshore, offering guests an extra dose of privacy and, of course, stunning lake views. All accommodations will boast an upscale design crafted with warm materials and a neutral color scheme. These lake houses will accommodate up to 5 or 8 guests, respectively.

The Hidden Willow Presidential Suite will offer lake views during the day and views of the Magic Kingdom fireworks at night, available for up to 6 guests and featuring 2 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, a full kitchen, lounge access, and both a washer and dryer.

Disney has also provided some details about dining options at the property:

  • Signature Table-Service Dining
    • Moonglade: A waterfront restaurant with floor-to-ceiling windows overlooking Bay Lake, serving seasonal, locally sourced cuisine.
  • Casual and Quick-Service Options
    • Bay Lake Provisions: An all-day quick-service marketplace offering grab-and-go items, specialty coffees, and an open-kitchen layout.
    • Paint Out Point Bar & Grill: A poolside venue near Lakeshore Lagoon serving shareable bites and drinks, featuring artwork by Disney Imagineers.
  • Specialty Lounge
    • Dandelion Terrace: A 2-story lounge designed for viewing the Magic Kingdom fireworks, offering cocktails and relaxation spaces.

Additionally, some accommodations will provide access to The Artist’s Nest. This will be an elevated concierge lounge set above the treetops with great views and complimentary refreshments.

Disney Lakeshore Reserve is a Disney Vacation Club property, which means it is a timeshare resort. This means members purchase deeded real estate at their home resort(s), pay annual dues, and receive a yearly allotment of points that can be used to book participating Disney accommodations.

When Can Guests Make Reservations?

Bookings will open for Disney’s Lakeshore Lodge starting on October 6, 2026, for Disney Vacation Club members. Points bookings will be available at a later, yet-unknown date.

Disney annual pass holders will be able to make reservations starting a day later, October 7, and reservations will open to the general public on October 8.
