If you like delivery and ridesharing, listen up. DoorDash and Lyft are teaming up to offer members new, exclusive benefits on both platforms.

Here’s what you need to know.

New DoorDash and Lyft Benefits

The delivery service DoorDash and the rideshare app Lyft are teaming up for benefits on rides and local delivery. Through the partnership, DashPass (DoorDash’s paid membership program) will receive monthly Lyft benefits. On the other end, Lyft riders will unlock a trial DashPass membership at no cost.

Here is a breakdown of the benefits:

  • 5% off on-demand Lyft rides and 10% off scheduled airport rides (up to 4 per month combined)
  • 2 free Priority Pickup upgrades per month
  • A 3-month DashPass free trial for new DashPass members

Additionally, DashPass and Lyft members who link their accounts by December 31, 2024, will get 50% off up to 4 scheduled airport rides through the end of the year (up to $25 per ride) and 50% off their first DoorDash order (up to $10).

Interestingly, this benefit appears to be available for all Lyft members — not just paid Lyft Pink members. That service costs $9.99 per month and includes a host of benefits like discounts on rides, priority airport pickup, and relaxed cancellation fees.

If you’re unfamiliar with the service, DashPass members receive $0 delivery fees and reduced service fees on orders that meet the subtotal minimum. You’ll also get:

  • 5% back in DoorDash credits on eligible pickup orders
  • $0 delivery fees
  • Reduced service fees on grocery and convenience orders
  • Exclusive offers

Typically, a DashPass membership costs $9.99 monthly or $96 annually. However, there are ways to get a free membership through an eligible credit card.

Chase Sapphire Reserve® and Chase Sapphire Preferred® cardholders receive complimentary DashPass membership for 12 months when activated by December 31, 2027. Additionally, Chase Sapphire Reserve cardholders receive a monthly $5 DoorDash credit.

And both the Chase Freedom Unlimited® and Chase Freedom Flex® offer DashPass perks, albeit for a 3-month membership when you sign up by January 31, 2025.

Hot Tip:

Several Chase co-branded credit cards offer 12-month complimentary DashPass benefits. Take a look at our guide to the Chase credit cards with free DoorDash DashPass perks!

Final Thoughts

This is exciting news, as DoorDash and Lyft are partnering together to offer benefits to their members at no cost to them. Still, many of these benefits can be earned simply by having a travel credit card. However, it doesn’t hurt to take advantage of these benefits, especially if you’re already a DashPass or Lyft user!
