Frontier elite status is more valuable than you might think. Depending on your elite tier, you can use it for free checked and carry-on bags, premium seats, and more. Plus, the airline will provide a free ongoing companion pass to Platinum and Diamond members later this year.

If you’re looking for a fast track to Frontier elite status, now’s your chance. Right now, the airline is offering members Platinum elite status through the end of 2025 after earning just 20,000 Elite Status Points. This is less than half of the 50,000 Elite Status Points usually required.

Here’s a closer look at this status match and why you might want to earn Platinum status with this offer.

Overview of Frontier Platinum Status

Before we discuss the fast track to Frontier Platinum, here’s a look at its benefits:

  • Earn 16x points per $1 on flights.
  • No change or cancelation fees 7 days before departure.
  • Priority customer care.
  • Family pooling.
  • Free carry-on bag.
  • Free checked bag.
  • Standard, preferred, or premium seat at booking.
  • UpFront Plus seats 12 hours before departure.
  • Zone 1 priority boarding.
  • Pet fee waiver.
  • 50% off Discount Den membership.
  • Gift 1 Silver Pass to a friend.

Additionally, the airline will introduce first-class upgrades and an ongoing companion pass before the end of the year. This could provide tremendous value, especially since you’ll be able to use the companion pass as often as you’d like, similar to the Southwest Companion Pass.

Fast-Track to Frontier Platinum Elite Status

As mentioned, Frontier is offering a fast track to Platinum elite status. You can earn status through the end of 2025 when you register for the promotion and earn 20,000 Elite Status Points by April 30, 2025.

If you’re starting from scratch, you might assume you’d have to spend $2,000 on Frontier flights to earn the 20,000 Elite Status Points required. This is because those without elite status earn 10 redeemable points and 10 Elite Status Points per $1 on flights.

However, as mentioned by Frequent Miler, it isn’t quite this expensive. You’ll earn Frontier Silver elite status after you earn 10,000 Elite Status Points, which raises your earning rate to 12 redeemable points and Elite Status Points per $1. As such, you’d need to spend $1,834 on Frontier flights to earn the 20,000 Elite Status Points required.

You can also speed up the process with the Frontier Airlines World Mastercard®. This card includes 90 days of Frontier Gold status after you make your first purchase within 90 days of account opening. You can extend this to 12 months of Gold status by spending $3,000 in the first 90 days of account opening. This increases your earn rate to 14 redeemable points and Elite Status Points per $1 on Frontier flights.

Plus, the card earns 1 Elite Status Point per $1 spent on all purchases, which can help you supplement your progress toward the Platinum elite fast track. If you pay for flights with your Frontier Airlines World card, you’d earn 15 Elite Status Points per $1 and 19 redeemable points per $1, since the card also earns 5 redeemable miles per $1 on Frontier purchases.

Final Thoughts

Frontier is offering its loyalty members a fast track to Platinum elite status — and it’s worth striving for if you fly Frontier regularly. In addition to free bags, priority boarding and other benefits, Platinum elite members will be eligible for first-class upgrades and a companion pass later this year. The companion pass alone could save you thousands if you plan to travel with a partner in the future.
