Emirates has made Montréal (YUL) its newest destination, starting service from its hub in Dubai (DXB) on July 5, 2023. In fact, the Québec city will become the second Canadian airport to welcome Emirates service.
“Emirates is excited to launch our second gateway into Canada as we expand our reach in the country with direct services from our hub in Dubai,” said Adnan Kazim, chief commercial officer at Emirates.
Here are the details about Emirates’ newest route to Dubai.
Details on Emirates’ Montréal Service
Montréal (YUL) joins Toronto (YYZ) as the second Canadian city to benefit from nonstop service to Dubai.
“We have been serving customers with passenger and cargo services to Toronto for over 15 years and when we begin services to Montréal in July, customers will have more choice when planning their travel whether for business, leisure, education or for visiting family and friends,” continued Kazim.
With the new Montréal route, the U.A.E.-based airline will now operate nonstop flights from Dubai (DXB) to a total of 14 airports across Canada and the U.S. This flight will operate daily on a year-round basis with the following schedule:
Unlike Emirates’ route to Toronto, which is served by the massive Airbus A380, Montréal will welcome the airline’s smaller Boeing 777-300ER. The jets comprise 8 first-class suites, 42 seats in business, and a huge 304 seats in economy.
As is often the case with nonstop services, you’ll be paying a premium to fly with Emirates. The cheapest round-trip economy fares we’ve seen start at around $1,217, available from September through November 2023.
These additions take the number of nonstop services between the 2 nations to 3 routes.
Final Thoughts
It’s great to see a huge global carrier investing in a second Canadian city. Not only that, but the new route will greatly increase connectivity opportunities through both airport gateways for passengers in both Dubai, Montréal, and beyond!
