Hyatt has expanded its swanky JdV by Hyatt brand with a new property that just opened in Taipei, Taiwan.

Here’s a look at the new hotel and some information on how to book it with World of Hyatt points.

New Hyatt Hotel Opens in Taipei

EPISODE Daan Taipei has 136 guest rooms with views of the Xinyi District or a private balcony.

All rooms feature MALIN+GOETZ toiletries, facial acupressure massagers, and large Samsung TVs. The hotel has a fitness center and an on-site bar and restaurant.

This is Taiwan’s second EPISODE hotel after a property in EPISODE Hsinchu opened back in 2022.

JdV by Hyatt is a collection of full-service original hotels with ties to the local community. These hotels are typically found in bustling city centers, and most have restaurants, meeting spaces, and fitness centers. Hyatt has 60 JdV by Hyatt hotels open in 48 cities worldwide.

Booking EPISODE Daan Taipei

EPISODE Daan Taipei is now open for guests and is participating in the World of Hyatt loyalty program. This means you’ll be able to earn and redeem points during your stay.

The hotel is moderately priced, whether you’re using cash or World of Hyatt points. That’s due to the program’s low cash and award pricing in regions such as Asia and the Middle East.

Cash rates start around $200 per night for dates this fall and winter, which is reasonable for Taipei.

The hotel is a Category 3 hotel, which means awards start at 9,000 per night (off-peak) and up to 15,000 points per night on peak dates.

While Hyatt points aren’t the easiest to earn, the program does have 2 major transfer partners. Both Chase Ultimate Rewards and Bilt Rewards points transfer to Hyatt at a 1:1 ratio.

This hotel can also be booked using a Category 1-4 free night certificate, which you can earn by participating in the Brand Explorer program, staying 30 qualifying nights (or earning 50,000 base points), or having The World of Hyatt Credit Card.

Final Thoughts

This hotel opening is pretty exciting news for fans of the JdV brand, particularly Hyatt loyalists looking for high-end, affordable options in Asia. If you’re planning a trip to Taipei, EPISODE Daan Taipei should be at the top of your list!
