Update:

The offer mentioned below has expired and is no longer available.

Paying $259 for a round-trip ticket to Rome (FCO) from New York (JFK) is a ridiculously good deal. According to Google, that’s $330 cheaper than usual!

The last time we wrote about a deal to Rome, it was for $355, and we thought that was a bargain. This is whatever word means “cheaper than a bargain.”

Here are the details and how to book it for yourself.

Fare Deal — Details

This deal to Rome is available thanks to the low-cost carrier Norse. The travel period is restricted to November and December — perfect for a last-minute getaway. It’s also a great time of year to visit Italy as Christmas festivities get underway.

For those unfamiliar with Norse, it’s a Norwegian airline that operates several transatlantic routes between the U.S. and Europe.

True to low-cost form, the fares don’t include checked bags, and you won’t be served a complimentary in-flight meal, even on this long-haul jaunt across the Atlantic.

  • Class: Economy
  • Routes: New York (JFK) to Rome (FCO)
  • Dates: November and December 2025
  • Rates: As low as $259 round-trip

The lowest fares of $259 are only available in December.

For travel in November, the fares jump to $305 round-trip, a $45 increase.

Even if Rome’s not at the top of your “to-visit” list, it’s the perfect jumping-off point to visit other cities in Italy or even elsewhere in Europe, thanks to the availability of low-cost trains and flights.

Best Ways To Book

If this excellent deal courtesy of Norse tempts you, we recommend using a credit card that rewards you for booking flights.

A great option is the Platinum Card® from American Express. It’s a high-end card that comes with a high-end price tag, but its excellent perks and benefits mean that you’ll find in most of our wallets here at Upgraded Points.

For example, paying for these flights directly via Norse’s website (or through AmexTravel.com) would earn you 5 Membership Rewards points per $1 spent (limit of $500,000 per year of these purchases, then 1 point per $1).

Hot Tip:

Another great perk of The Platinum Card is that it comes with a complimentary Priority Pass membership. This valuable membership is the key to over 1,700 airport lounges around the world, no matter which airline you’re flying that day.

Final Thoughts

This is the lowest nonstop fare we have ever seen for round-trip tickets Rome. Don’t spend too much time thinking about it, as this deal is likely to be snapped up faster than you can ask your friends, “Want to get pizza in Italy?”

Buon viaggio!
