Fiji Airways now flies nonstop to Dallas.

The national carrier of the island nation inaugurated flights to the Big D on Tuesday, November 10, 2024.

“This new route significantly strengthens Fiji Airways’ connectivity across North America, making it easier than ever for U.S. travellers to access Fiji and the South Pacific, with seamless onward connections to Australia and New Zealand,” said Andre Viljoen, CEO and managing director at Fiji Airways.

Here are the details of Dallas’ tropical new route.

Fly Nonstop From Dallas to Paradise in Fiji

For people in Texas, there’s a new airline in town.

Fiji Airways has officially launched its 6,625-mile (10,661-kilometer) service to Dallas Fort Worth (DFW) — the longest route that the Nadi-based carrier operates.

Dallas joins Honolulu (HNL), Los Angeles (LAX), San Francisco (SFO), and Vancouver (YVR) as Fiji Airways’ fifth North American destination.

As Fiji is a small island archipelago, Fiji Airways’ network primarily connects the capital of Nadi with Asia-Pacific destinations such as Australia, Japan, Kiribati, and Samoa.

The new service is scheduled to operate on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Saturdays. As flights cross the international date line, passengers will skip an entire day on the outbound leg and gain half a day back on the return.

  • Depart Dallas Fort Worth (DFW) at 9:55 p.m. and arrive in Fiji (NAN) at 5:20 a.m. (+2)
  • Depart Fiji (NAN) at 9:15 p.m. and arrive in Dallas Fort Worth (DFW) at 3:20 p.m.

Depending on the success of the route, the frequency could increase to more than 3 times per week.

Fiji Airways deploys its most modern aircraft on the route — the Airbus A350. The jet comprises 2 classes of travel: business and economy class.

Up front, you’ll find 33 lie-flat business-class seats in a 1-2-1 configuration. In economy, there are a whopping 301 seats in a 3-3-3 configuration.

The cheapest round-trip fares we’re seeing start at $645 when booking with trip.com — an online travel agent (OTA).

Alternatively, you could book directly with Fiji Airways or American Airlines and pay around twice as much.

Hot Tip:

Final Thoughts

Fiji Airways is making the most of Dallas as a global Oneworld hub before it officially joins the alliance next year.

The route provides even more options for travelers across the U.S. who dream of visiting the tropical paradise of Fiji and beyond.
