Fold Bitcoin Rewards Credit Card Details

With the Fold Bitcoin rewards card, users can earn up to 3.5% back in bitcoin on every purchase, and there are no bonus categories to worry about.

You’ll earn an unlimited 2% back instantly when you use your card to pay for items, plus up to 1.5% back when you pay the balance on your card using the Fold Checking Account.

Additionally, cardholders can earn up to 10% back when they shop with brands in the Fold rewards network, including Amazon, Best Buy, DoorDash, Home Depot, Lowe’s, Starbucks, Target, Uber, Uber Eats, and hundreds more.

In comparison to the Coinbase One credit card that recently launched, which offers up to 4% back on all purchases, the Fold Bitcoin rewards card stacks up pretty well when you consider that the Coinbase One card requires a Coinbase One account at a price of $49.99 per year, and it only earns 2% back if your average Coinbase balance is under $10,000. You’ll need an average balance of $200,000 in order to receive the 4% back in rewards.

With the Fold Bitcoin Rewards card, on the other hand, you can earn up to 3.5% back on all purchases without needing to pay an annual fee to use the card or needing to meet minum balance requirements to unlock a certain tier of rewards.

“Our credit card offers clear and compelling value and makes bitcoin easily accessible to everyone. There are no categories to manage, no tokens to stake, no exchange account or balance requirements; just real bitcoin, earned automatically with every purchase.”

Will Reeves, Chairman, CEO and Founder of Fold said

While the card hasn’t officially launched yet, those interested can head to the landing page on the Fold website and enter their email to be notified when the card is officially live.

Should You Get It?

If you’re already a Bitcoin investor or someone who likes earning Bitcoin rewards, then adding the Fold Bitcoin Rewards card to your wallet could be a great option for you.

In our view, it makes the most sense to opt for the card if you’re also going to use the Fold checking account to pay off your balance, unlocking up to 3.5% back on your purchases. Otherwise, you’ll earn just 2% back on your purchases. In that case, you could opt for virtually any card that offers 2% back and then use that cash-back to purchase Bitcoin, or use that cash for anything else you might need.

Final Thoughts

For Bitcoin investors, this credit card should be a solid way to continue to invest passively as while making daily purchases. If you’re interested in the new Fold Bitcoin Rewards credit card, make sure you head to the Fold website and provide your email so you can be notified when the card is officially live.
