The expansion brings the total destinations served by Frontier at PHX to 22. Additionally, Frontier is opening a crew base at the airport, which will see up to 180 pilots and nearly 300 flight attendants hired.
“This major expansion of service from PHX solidifies Frontier’s place as one of Phoenix’s largest airlines,” said Barry Biffle, President and CEO of Frontier Airlines, in a statement.
This announcement comes after the airline announced a major expansion at Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport (ATL), which will see 5 new international destinations later this year. Frontier also added service this month from Las Vegas (LAS) to Baltimore (BWI), Buffalo (BUF), Hartford (BDL), and Kansas City (MCI).
