Ultra-low-cost carrier Frontier Airlines is in expansion mode. The airline has announced several new routes in the last few weeks and now has added another one: New York (JFK) to Atlanta (ATL).

“We’re thrilled to announce this new service at JFK, offering area consumers affordable and convenient travel to Atlanta and beyond,” said Josh Flyr, vice president of network and operations design, Frontier Airlines.

Let’s take a look at the details of this new route and some enticing fares the airline is offering to celebrate its launch.

Frontier Starting Nonstop NYC to Atlanta Flights in August

Frontier Airlines will inaugurate nonstop service between New York (JFK) and Atlanta (ATL) on August 13, 2024. The flights will operate daily according to the following schedule:

  • Depart New York (JFK) 8:56 a.m. — Arrive Atlanta (ATL) 11:25 a.m.
  • Depart Atlanta (ATL) 5:45 a.m. — Arrive New York (JFK) 8:06 a.m.

This development comes just days after Frontier announced nonstop service from JFK to Harry Reid International Airport (LAS) in Las Vegas, which will also commence on August 13.

Fares Starting at $29 Each Way

To celebrate the launch of this new route, Frontier is offering fares at spectacular prices — just $29 each way.

In order to qualify for the promotional fares, you must purchase your tickets by July 3, 2024, at 11:59 p.m., and fly between August 13 and November 13, 2024, on select days of the week. You’re not required to book a round-trip ticket, but note that the following blackout dates apply:

  • September 2 to 3
  • October 11 to 14
  • November 11 to 12

Once you’ve selected the flights you want to book, you’ll want to pay with a credit card that rewards flight purchases. These include cards like The Platinum Card® from American ExpressCapital One Venture X Rewards Credit Card, and Chase Sapphire Reserve®.

Hot Tip:

Flying ultra-low-cost airlines such as Frontier means paying extra for things like carry-on bags, checked bags, and seat selection. However, Frontier just introduced new bundles, with the cheapest starting at $39, which includes 1 carry-on bag, standard seat selection, and no change or cancellation fees.

Final Thoughts

Soon, Frontier Airlines will operate nonstop flights between Kennedy Airport in New York and Atlanta, offering travelers another option for traveling between the 2 cities. Hopefully, the entrance of Frontier in the market will drive down fares across the spectrum of carriers that operate nonstop flights on this busy route.
