Frontier Airlines has been on a roll lately with new routes, and new flights from California’s Hollywood Burbank (BUR) Airport have caught our eye.

Here’s what you need to know about the new routes and how to book, now that Frontier is back in Burbank after 3 years!

New Frontier Routes From the West Coast

Frontier Airlines announced on November 21 that it was returning to Hollywood Burbank Airport (BUR) with nonstop flights to Denver (DEN), Phoenix (PHX), and San Francisco (SFO). These routes were originally announced earlier this year, and now they’re live, including solid frequency and low pricing for a limited time.

Here’s a look at the schedule:

“We are thrilled to be back at Hollywood Burbank Airport, offering consumers in the greater Los Angeles area ultra-low-cost travel options to San Francisco, Phoenix and Denver just in time for holiday travel,” said Josh Flyr, Frontier’s vice president of network and operations design.

Burbank is often used by budget travelers as a lower-cost option than flying from the much-busier Los Angeles (LAX).

Bottom Line:

This has been an interesting week for Frontier. Earlier this week, the budget airline launched over a dozen new routes across 21 airports for 2025. They include a transcontinental route between Los Angeles (LAX) and Orlando (MCO) and a flight to the Caribbean island of Antigua and Barbuda (ANU).

How To Book

Frontier is launching promo fares for these new routes, and they’re dirt cheap. Flights start at just $29 between Burbank and Phoenix or San Francisco. Flights start at $39 to Denver.

Those are pretty solid deals, considering flights on mainline airlines can cost double or triple that amount. For instance, a round-trip flight between Burbank and Denver can cost just under $100 on Frontier for dates next January. But flights on the same route, this time on United Airlines, can cost $300 round-trip.

If you’re interested in any of these new Frontier routes, you should book by 11:59 P.M. ET on December 8, 2024, and travel between November 21 and December 18, 2024. Keep in mind there are several blackout dates: November 22-24, 26-27, and 30, and December 1-3, 2024.

Make sure to book using a travel rewards credit card, like The Platinum Card® from American ExpressChase Sapphire Reserve®, or the Capital One Venture X Rewards Credit Card. If you find yourself flying Frontier frequently, the airline offers a co-branded credit card that earns 5x miles per $1 spent on eligible purchases at flyfrontier.com.

Final Thoughts

This has been an exciting few weeks for Frontier. Earlier this week, the airline announced a slew of domestic and international routes. Now, Frontier is bringing back service to the popular Burbank Airport, with flights starting at just $29 each way for a limited time.
