Here’s a look at everything you need to know.
Hyatt Expands Footprint in Mexico
Hyatt is a favorite among award travelers for its wide portfolio of brands and because there are so many great ways to redeem Hyatt points for maximum value.
Let’s take a look at what’s next for Hyatt hotels and resorts in Mexico:
Hyatt Regency Mexico City Insurgentes: This new hotel geared to business and leisure travelers is set to open in May of 2023. Centrally located in the heart of Mexico City, this urban hotel has 201 guest rooms and suites plus 3 restaurants and bars.
Secrets Impression Isla Mujeres: This will be the second property under the Secrets Impression brand, which offers the highest level of all-inclusive luxury. It’s scheduled to open later in May of 2023.
Secrets Tulum Resort & Beach Club: Scheduled to open in October of 2023, this adults-only all-inclusive resort features 301 suites set in a lush mangrove with an exclusive beach club nearby.
Park Hyatt Los Cabos at Cabo del Sol: This hotel, the first Park Hyatt in Mexico, is planned to open in 2024.
The Chatwal San Miguel: Overlooking the Laja River Valley, this resort which is scheduled to open in 2024 will feature 44 freestanding villas and 125 residences.
Thompson Monterrey: This luxury lifestyle hotel is slated to open in 2025.
Park Hyatt Mexico City: The second Park Hyatt in Mexico, and the first urban Park Hyatt in the country, is scheduled for 2025.
Hyatt is working diligently to squash the main criticism aimed at the brand — that its footprint is too small — by expanding throughout Mexico. Notable additions to the Hyatt portfolio in Mexico include 2 Park Hyatt locations, Park Hyatt Los Cabos at Cabo del Sol and Park Hyatt Mexico City, as well as a number of all-inclusive properties like Secrets Impression Isla Mujeres and Secrets Tulum Resort & Beach Club.
