Current Five Star and President’s Circle elite members with Hertz Gold Plus Rewards can gift their status level to 1 friend, family member, or work colleague for free.
The gifted status can be used until June 30, 2022.
How To Share Your Hertz President’s Circle or Five Star Status
Once you have decided who is going to be the lucky recipient of your Hertz elite status gift, you will need to complete the following steps:
- Log into your Hertz Gold Plus account
- Visit the Give the Gift of Elite Status page
- Complete the form
The process is very simple and both parties will receive a confirmation email when the gifting is complete.

At the very least, anyone renting from Hertz should sign up for Hertz Gold Plus rewards purely for the fact that you can skip the line and go right to your assigned car — a huge timesaver nowadays.
However, with Five Star or President’s Circle elite status, members can choose their own cars, receive upgrades, earn bonus points, and more.

Final Thoughts
Although the gifted status only lasts for 6 months, this is still a great little promotion by Hertz.
